The Renault Kiger turbo-petrol manual has become more affordable with the new Evolution+ Turbo variant, which starts at Rs 7.89 lakh, ex-showroom; it used to start at Rs 9.33 lakh with the Emotion Turbo variant before. The Kiger Evolution+ can be had with a naturally-aspirated petrol motor as well, starting at Rs 6.99 lakh. The Techno Turbo variant, previously on sale with a CVT automatic only, also adds a manual gearbox option at Rs 8.45 lakh.

Compared to Emotion Turbo manual, the new Evolution+ Turbo variant costs Rs 1.46 lakh less. Meanwhile, the manual gearbox option introduced with the Techno Turbo variant is priced Rs 90,000 lower than the CVT automatic.
Renault Kiger Evolution+ features
The one-above base Evolution variant offers features such as an LED DRLs and tail-lights, 8-inch touchscreen with wired Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, steering-mounted controls, rear AC vents and fabric upholstery electrically adjustable ORVMs and rear-view camera.

The Evolution+ variant, which is based on Evolution, adds keyless entry, push-button start/stop, height adjustable driver's seat, wireless smartphone connectivity and automatic AC. These features have actually trickled down from the Techno variant, which is positioned higher. Speaking of the Kiger Techno, it packs additional features like LED headlights and 16-inch flex wheels.
Meanwhile, front ventilated seats, 360-degree camera, diamond cut alloy wheels and drive modes are exclusive to the range-topping Emotion variant.
Renault Kiger powertrain specs
As mentioned before, both naturally-aspirated petrol and turbo-petrol engine choices are available with the Renault Kiger. The 1.0-litre NA motor is offered with either a 5-speed manual or a 5-speed AMT, and produces peak outputs of 72hp and 96Nm. A CNG retrofit option is also on offer with the manual gearbox. On the other hand, the 1.0-litre turbo-petrol version can be had with a 5MT or CVT, and it generates 100hp and 160Nm.
The Renault Kiger competes in the compact SUV space with the Nissan Magnite, Tata Nexon, Hyundai Venue, Kia Sonet and Syros, Maruti Brezza and Fronx, Mahindra XUV 3XO and Skoda Kushaq.
