New Hyundai cars, SUVs and EVs launching in 2025 in India

In 2024, Hyundai focussed on updating its existing line-up. Among the major updates were the Creta facelift and the refreshed Alcazar. However, 2025 will see the introduction of at least one all-new model, along with Hyundai’s first mass-market EV. Read on to know which new Hyundais are expected next year.

Prices for the all-electric version of the Hyundai Creta will be announced on January 17, when the EV is shown at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025. The Creta EV will challenge the Maruti e Vitara, Tata Curvv EV, and Mahindra’s BE 6e when it arrives in the market. Powering the all-electric Creta will be a 45kWh battery pack, expected to go about 400km on the MIDC cycle. The battery will send power to a front axle-mounted motor that makes 138hp and 255Nm.

In terms of design, it’ll look like an electric version of the Creta, with a closed-off ‘grille’ and new aero-optimised alloy wheels. Spy shots of test mules have shown that its cabin shares much with the Alcazar facelift and the Kona sold overseas. Expect prices for the Creta EV to be in the Rs 25 lakh-30 lakh region.

Hyundai Ioniq 5 facelift

Two and a half years after Hyundai brought the Ioniq 5 to India, the Korean brand will bring in a facelift for its EV. The Ioniq 5 facelift has been revealed in international markets, and it now uses sportier design elements seen on the previous N model, and its cabin features more physical buttons and a new steering wheel. While there is a larger 84kWh battery with a 515km WLTP range on offer, it’s unclear if that version will come to India. Expect the refreshed Ioniq 5 to be priced at around Rs 50 lakh when it arrives in the middle of the next year.

New Hyundai Venue

The second-gen Venue is expected to retain the three engine options – the 1.2-litre petrol, the 1.0-litre turbo-petrol, and the 1.5-litre diesel – along with the boxy shape of the current model. Recent spy shots showed that the new Venue’s nose will feature a split headlamp setup, similar to what the Creta sports, along with a taller bumper and a wider grille with rectangular elements. The interiors are expected to see a significant upgrade in terms of comfort and features, as rivals have brought the game forward appreciably.

The same set of spy shots showed a module for an ADAS suite. Other expected features include a panoramic sunroof, larger screens for infotainment and driver display duties, and more upmarket materials and upholstery. Production is set to start at Hyundai’s new facility in Talegaon, Maharashtra, in late 2025, which means the launch is expected to take place even later; prices for the new Venue could be announced in early 2026. As it will likely cost a slight premium over the current mode, expect prices to be in the Rs 8.5 lakh-14.5 lakh range.
