Kia Motors India has announced a partnership with Vodafone Idea in order to provide buyers of its new Seltos SUV with the UVO Connect connected car services. In essence, this means that the Kia Seltos will come with an embedded Vodafone SIM card that will enable the use of the services offered by the connectivity tech.
Like sister brand, Hyundai’s BlueLink connectivity suite, UVOConnect uses an embedded SIM to power all the internet-based connectivity functions, which include 37 features under five separate sections - navigation, safety and security, vehicle management, remote control and convenience. The system comes with AI-based voice commands, stolen vehicle tracking and immobilisation, safety alerts, remote engine start and stop, auto collision notification and remote control for the air purifier.
