After numerous sightings abroad, test mules of the refreshed Kia Seltos have been finally seen in India. Kia's SUV went on sale here in June 2019; the Seltos facelift is expected to debut globally by August this year, followed by an expected India launch at the Auto Expo 2023.

Kia Seltos facelift: multiple cosmetic tweaks expected
These spy photos of the updated Seltos confirm that it will get styling tweaks at the front and at the back, while in profile, it seems to remain largely unchanged. There are talks about the Seltos getting a similarly styled front fascia as the Carens sold here and the latest-gen Niro EV that was unveiled overseas recently.
This means the Seltos facelift will get revised front and rear bumpers, revised headlamps and tail-lamps, and a new look for Kia’s signature grille, in order to align the SUV's styling with newer models from Kia.
The current Seltos is already well equipped and has a long list of creature comforts and other features. We expect Kia to redo the upholstery, make cosmetic updates to the dashboard, and also add new features to the infotainment system, including a 360-degree camera. Additionally, the Seltos will also come with ADAS features that are expected to be tuned for usage in India.
Under the hood, we expect the Seltos facelift to continue with the same engine options, which include a 1.4-litre turbo-petrol, a 1.5-litre NA petrol and a 1.5-litre diesel. Models overseas might get mild-hybrid tech, which could be seen on made-in-India vehicles a little later.

Sources tell us that the new Seltos will debut globally sometime in late July or August this year in Korea. For India, Kia recently gave the Seltos a long list of tweaks, including suspension upgrades and more feature additions. We expect Kia to make an announcement regarding the refreshed Seltos only by end of this year, and a debut will take place at the upcoming Auto Expo 2023 in January.
