new maruti car launches in 2026

In 2025, Maruti Suzuki launched only one new car in India: the Victoris midsize SUV. This is down from the carmaker’s usual cadence of 2-3 launches a year, but 2026 looks to be a return to form for Maruti Suzuki. Next year, the company will add two EVs and a flex-fuel model to its portfolio, as well as update the Brezza compact SUV. Let’s dive into every Maruti Suzuki launch lined up for 2026.

Maruti Suzuki e Vitara

Launch window: January 2026

Four Maruti cars launching in 2026

Maruti Suzuki’s maiden EV for India, the e Vitara, has been a long time coming and will finally go on sale in January 2026. The e Vitara will rival the likes of the Mahindra BE 6, Hyundai Creta Electric, MG ZS EV, Vinfast VF6 and Tata Curvv EV. Maruti will offer the e Vitara with 49kWh and 61kWh battery options, both wired up to a front-mounted motor. The claimed range for the e Vitara is pegged at 543km, and the electric midsize SUV also holds a 5-star Bharat NCAP safety rating.

Maruti Suzuki Fronx Flex Fuel

Launch window: Second half of 2026

In addition to its debut EV, Maruti Suzuki will launch its first flex-fuel engine next year, which will be available under the bonnet of the Fronx compact SUV. Though precise details remain under wraps, the main talking point around this engine is its compatibility with ethanol-petrol blends of up to E85 – 85 percent ethanol, 15 percent petrol. Aside from its engine, the Fronx Flex Fuel is expected to remain identical to the current model, both in design and equipment levels.

Maruti Suzuki ‘YMC’ electric MPV

Launch window: End of 2026

The second EV from Maruti Suzuki will be based on the e Vitara’s platform but sport an MPV form factor. Codenamed ‘YMC’, it will be Maruti Suzuki’s first all-electric MPV and will likely be positioned above the Ertiga and XL6. Therefore, the YMC could go up against the Kia Carens Clavis EV. Like the e Vitara, the YMC will be offered with 49kWh and 61kWh battery packs and could deliver a comparable 500-550km range.

Maruti Suzuki Brezza facelift

Launch window: Mid-2026 (estimated)

As the second-gen Brezza heads into its fourth year, Maruti Suzuki is readying a facelift for the compact SUV. Recent spy shots of Brezza facelift test mules preview subtle revisions to the design, with perhaps the same underbody CNG tank setup as the Victoris. We also expect mild interior changes and a longer list of features. The Brezza facelift is likely to retain the 103hp 1.5-litre petrol engine with a choice of manual and automatic transmissions, as well as the CNG option.
