The updated Porsche 911 Turbo S (992.2) is now available in India at a starting price of Rs 3.80 crore. Porsche debuted the 992.2 Turbo S at Munich Motor Show 2025 as the most powerful version of the 911 to date, and just over two months later, it’s landed on Indian shores in Coupe guise. Bookings for the new 911 Turbo S are open, and deliveries will commence in the second half of 2026. In India, the new 911 Turbo S’s closest rivals are the Ferrari 296 GTB and McLaren Artura.

Under the hood, the new Turbo S is equipped with the 911 Carrera 4 GTS’s 3.6-litre turbo flat-6 hybrid powertrain but has an extra turbocharger to boost the total output to 711hp and 800Nm. That’s a 61hp uptick over the previous 911 Turbo S, which, when funnelled to all four wheels via the 8-speed dual-clutch automatic, allows the 992.2 Turbo S to rocket from a standstill to 100kph in a claimed 2.5 seconds and to 200kph in 8.4 seconds, onwards to a top speed of 322kph.

The new 911 Turbo S also comes with 420mm front and 410mm rear carbon ceramic disc brakes, a 6.8kg lighter sports exhaust system with a titanium muffler and tips and the latest iteration of Porsche Dynamic Chassis Control (PDCC). Thanks to these enhancements, the new 911 Turbo S Coupe holds a Nurburgring Nordschleife lap time of 7:03.92 minutes – 14 seconds quicker than the previous model.

Compared to the standard 911 Carrera, the new Turbo S is wider and gets an active diffuser with air curtains up front, air intakes just ahead of the rear wheel arches, a ducktail wing and new centre-lock alloy wheels – 20 inches at the front; 21 inches at the rear.

It also has 10mm wider tyres than the prior model, and much of the new 911 Turbo S’s exterior trim has been finished in ‘Turbonite,’ a bronze-grey shade that’s exclusive to Porsche’s Turbo models.

Inside, the door liners, steering wheel, dashboard, centre console, instrument cluster, seat belts and stopwatch have been finished in Turbonite as well. In terms of creature comforts, Porsche equips the new 911 Turbo S with 18-way electrically adjustable sports seats with memory functions, dual-zone climate control, an infotainment touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a digital driver’s display, and more. Buyers will have plenty of optional extras to choose from as well.
