While the Korean company is gearing up to introduce its Venue SUV on May 21, Hyundai dealers are looking to push sales of a number of its hatchbacks and sedans to boost sales during this month. Besides a 3gm gold coin on select models, dealerships are also offering cash discounts, an exchange bonus and other benefits on the Santro, Grand i10, Xcent, i20, i20 Active and Verna.

Hyundai Grand i10

Save up to Rs 96,000
The current Grand i10 is getting a bit long in the tooth, having been on sale since 2013 and updated last in 2017. The next-gen Hyundai Grand i10, which is expected to arrive in October 2019, is likely to be mechanically similar to the current model, though have an AMT automatic rather than the on-sale Grand i10’s torque convertor unit. Potential customers could avail total benefits of up to Rs 96,000 on both, petrol and diesel variants of the rival to the Ford Figo and Maruti Suzuki Swift.

Hyundai Xcent

Save up to Rs 90,000
The compact sedan version of the Grand i10, Hyundai’s Xcent, can now be had with benefits of up to Rs 90,000 at select dealerships. The Maruti Suzuki Dzire rival has the same 1.2-litre petrol and diesel engines as its hatchback sibling and is nearly identical in every aspect, apart from its front-end design and boot. The next-gen Xcent, which will be based on the next-gen Grand i10, is expected to arrive in India in 2020.

Hyundai Verna

Save up to Rs 50,000
Our pick of the mid-size sedans currently on sale in India, the Verna, gets four engine options – a 100hp 1.4 petrol, a 90hp 1.4 diesel, a 123hp 1.6 petrol and a 128hp 1.6 diesel (the 1.6-litre engines get 6-speed automatic gearbox options). While its rear seat space may not be on par with rivals like the Maruti Ciaz and Honda City, the cabin quality and overall refinement – not to mention its long equipment list – definitely provide the Hyundai an edge. Benefits worth Rs 50,000 are now available on the Hyundai Verna.

Hyundai Santro

Save up to Rs 36,000
The first Hyundai model in India to get an AMT gearbox, the Santro is the Korean brand’s answer to the Tata Tiago, Maruti Celerio, Datsun Go and Maruti Suzuki’s Wagon R. The 1.1-litre petrol motor, which makes 69hp on petrol and 59hp on CNG, is not the performance benchmark in its segment, but it is quite refined. Dealers are now offering benefits worth Rs 36,000 on the Hyundai Santro.

Hyundai i20, i20 Active

Save up to Rs 25,000
Hyundai’s premium hatchback, and its crossover sibling, can now be had with benefits of up to Rs 25,000. Both models draw buyers for their looks, premium cabin and features list, and come with an 83hp, 1.2-litre petrol and a 90hp, 1.4-litre diesel engine – the former, on the hatchback, has 5-speed manual and CVT automatic gearbox options. Rivals, like the Honda Jazz, better the Hyundai i20’s rear seat space while the Maruti Suzuki Baleno outsells the Hyundai regularly.
