2025 Tata Altroz variant wise features

The Tata Altroz has received a mid-lifecycle facelift with a new design, a more upmarket interior and even a new powertrain option. It is the first major makeover for the hatchback since its launch in 2020. Tata Motors has also used this opportunity to give a new variant nomenclature for the Altroz, which is available in five trims: Smart, Pure, Creative, Accomplished S and Accomplished+S. Let’s take a closer look at all the features and powertrain options available with each trim.

2025 Tata Altroz variant lineup explained

The Altroz facelift has the same engines as its predecessor. So, there’s an 86hp 1.2-litre petrol, a 74hp 1.2-litre CNG and a 90hp 1.5-litre diesel mill. What’s new is that the petrol engine is now available with the option of a new 5-speed AMT gearbox, along with the 6-speed DCT gearbox that was offered before. All three engines have a 5-speed manual gearbox as standard. There’s no automatic gearbox option for the diesel or CNG versions. Interestingly, Tata offers an AMT option with the more affordable Tiago CNG.

Nevertheless, the Altroz boasts the novelty of being the only hatchback in India to be available with a diesel engine, albeit only in three trims. The 120hp 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine that was previously available with the Racer variant is no longer on sale, at least for now. Another interesting thing to note is that the top-spec Accomplished+S trim is only available with the turbo-petrol DCT powertrain.

Let’s take a closer look at the variant-wise features list.
