Kylaq is best using 1 yrs plus. Good mileage. Give more comfortable driving experience. Reliable, comfortable and spacious.
Kodiaq will not be able to seat 5 adults comfortably. It's not suitable for my needs.
The Kylaq has a few nice features but felt a bit cramped for my taste.
Horrible sales service. Skoda’s doesn’t listen to customers complaints Just keep on fooling people by so called German technology My new Kodiaq has underbody noise After one year they are not having part under warranty German tech takes 6 to 7 years to replace parts They are so hypocritical that let the warranty expire I made huge mistake in purchasing the new Kodiaq Skoda’s has not improved till date.
The mileage of the Skoda Kodiaq in the city is maximum 12 km/l and on the highway 16 km/l. If you are not concerned about this, then Skoda is good.
Go for skoda kylaq signature AT. It's the most value for money car in your budget. It's most comfortable and fun to drive vehicle with superior built quality in the segment. The torque converter automatic transmission is also very smooth and reliable.
The Skoda Kodiaq offers a great driving experience that might make you overlook fuel efficiency concerns. A Kodiaq owner reported achieving 19 kmpl on highways with careful driving. In city, like many cars, it tends to give single-digit fuel efficiency.
Kylaq comes with a powerful turbo petrol engine and was tested 5-star by BNCAP. If driven sensibly, it can yield good fuel efficiency. Skoda's after-sales service and spares have become relatively affordable.
Kodiaq is comfortable and quite easy to drive in city traffic. It is very spacious and offers good value-for-money with its features.
The Škoda Kodiaq AT signature offers higher SUV seating and is a fun to drive robust car. It's a good choice if you're looking for a technically refined upgrade.

Questions you may find useful
I’m planning to buy a premium SUV. Most of my driving will be in Bangalore city traffic, with occasional highway trips, around twice a month. I’m currently considering the Mahindra XUV 7XO top-end petrol automatic and the Skoda Kodiaq L&K. I understand there’s a significant price difference between the two, but my budget allows for either. I enjoy driving and won’t be hiring a chauffeur, so the driving experience is important to me. While both SUVs offer similar power on paper, does the Kodiaq provide a noticeably better sense of quality, cabin feel, driving pleasure, and after-sales service that justifies its higher price? I’m also open to suggestions from other brands that fit my requirements, such as entry-level Audi or BMW models, except Tata vehicles. Your expert advice would be a great help. Thank you.
Go for the Skoda Kodiaq Selection L&K. The Mahindra XUV 7XO is a genuinely impressive SUV with strong performance, a feature-rich cabin, and excellent value for money, but the Kodiaq is on a different level. The quality of the materials, the solidity of the build, the refinement, and the overall sense of premium engineering are immediately apparent. Its 2.0-litre TSI petrol engine is also an excellent unit, delivering strong performance and a genuinely enjoyable driving experience. The XUV 7XO is a very good SUV and offers outstanding value for money. However, the Kodiaq feels like a truly premium product, and if budget is not a concern, it is the one to choose. As for after-sales service, Skoda cars network is not as extensive as Mahindra cars, but it has improved significantly in recent years, and ownership experiences are generally positive. If you're open to other brands, the BMW X1 is also worth considering. It is smaller than the Kodiaq, but it is rewarding to drive and offers a genuinely premium experience. Overall, if you can comfortably afford the Kodiaq, it is the SUV that is most likely to keep you satisfied in the long run.
Hi Autocar team, I am looking to buy an Audi A4 is it worth to buy as it is already discontinued in global market. I have budget of around 50-55, i have 70% city and 30 % highway traffic running. Also had a look at camery because of average. I am open to consider SUV also had a look at kodiaq and xuv 7xo. Very confused please help
Hi! I am looking for a car under 15 lakh and also ready to increase 20-30 thousand if the car gives value. I have been considering few cars like Skoda Kylaq signature plus AT, Kia Seltos 6 MT HTK, Kia Sonet HTX 7DCT, Hyundai venue HX6 Turbo but I am very much confused and not able to decide. I want good features, good feel, moderate maintenance and reliable car which doesn't give me trouble. Could u please help. Thanks
My budget is around 30-40 lakhs. Looked at skoda kodiaq, but its top end is 60 lakhs (on road-Hyderabad). I want a premium, with excellent electronics 5 seater car which is not bulky, the one we feel in 7XO and harrier both test driven and which we don’t feel in kodiaq ( test driven). Is kodiaq worth it? Should I better spend 75-80 lakhs and go for Audi/bmw/merc brands. What about Ioniq, is it worth spending 50-60 lakhs in EV car? I feel it’s a very difficult choice to get majorly city driving car between 40-50 lakhs, we lack options
Hi, I currently own a March 2023 MG Hector Sharp CVT Petrol, top-end variant. The car is performing well except for the mileage, which is as low as 5 kpl. Would it be a good idea to sell the car and buy a used Skoda Kodiaq? If yes, I would like to hear your recommendations. Currently, I am being offered only Rs. 13 lakh for my car.
The MG Hector petrol CVT is a comfortable and feature-rich SUV, but its fuel efficiency is a known weakness, especially in city driving. The MG Hector price starts at 11.99 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). However, switching to a used Skoda Kodiaq is unlikely to solve your mileage concerns that you faced with the MG car. The Kodiaq is a larger, heavier SUV with a 2.0 TSI turbo petrol engine, and while it is more powerful and engaging to drive, it is not significantly more fuel efficient in real-world conditions. In fact, depending on your driving style and usage, it could even be thirstier than the Hector. The bigger issue here is the financial hit. Rs. 13 lakh offer on a 2023 top-end Hector is a steep depreciation, and moving to a used Kodiaq will likely require a substantial additional outlay. Unless you are genuinely unhappy with the Hector beyond just fuel efficiency, it is not a financially sensible move.If mileage is your primary concern, the better approach is to adjust your expectations or driving habits, or consider a hybrid or diesel SUV in your next purchase cycle. The Hector remains a comfortable and well-equipped SUV, and it is worth holding on to unless there is a stronger reason to change.
