The India-spec Renault Duster is likely to get the global-spec model’s 1.6-litre turbo-petrol engine that produces 156hp and 250Nm. Lower variants could be offered with the Renault Kiger’s 1.0-litre engine, which could be retuned for more power and torque. Both options are likely to be offered with both manual and automatic gearbox options. Sources also suggest that a strong-hybrid petrol engine is likely to be offered a year after the SUV launches in India.
