The MG Hector Plus is a 3-row derivative of the Hector SUV that in early 2023 got major updates inside and out. It can be had with either six seats or seven, the former getting captain’s chairs in the middle row, and the latter a bench. Both get a pair of small seats in the third row. The Hector and Hector Plus now look identical on the outside and even the inside, with only a badge setting them apart. The biggest update is the addition of the new 14-inch touchscreen as well as ADAS to the Hector line-up.

For a small price premium over a standard Hector, you get a more premium middle-row experience and the added flexibility of a third row of seats. All this over and above what we already like about the standard Hector, which includes big space, cushy ride quality and loads of features. It's not an engaging SUV to drive, nor does it pretend to be, but as a comfy SUV for the family or the chauffeur driven, the Hector Plus works rather well.
