Honda Amaze FAQs
Considering a five-year loan tenure, 9 percent interest rate and a downpayment of Rs 1 lakh, the EMI for the Honda Amaze's base variant is Rs 16,192, which will vary depending on your location and bank.
The cheapest variant of the Honda Amaze to get an automatic gearbox is the V CVT.
The one-year (10,000km) maintenance cost of the Honda Amaze ranges between Rs 2,606 and Rs 3,832.
The VX CVT variant of the Honda Amaze offers the convenience of an automatic gearbox with usable everyday performance. The addition of a better audio system, more safety tech and more comfort-oriented features make this variant our pick if you want an Amaze for around Rs 11 lakh.
Questions you may find useful
Hey, I’ve been thinking about purchasing a car for my parents. They’re first-time drivers, so they want an automatic. We live near a highway, so there will be a lot of driving on highways and decent roads. Our budget is up to Rs 12 lakh. I don’t want to consider the Baleno or Nexon. Which car would you suggest? I’ve been considering the Honda Amaze ZX CVT. Is its facelift coming soon?
Go for the Honda Amaze ZX CVT. It is one of the best choices for first-time drivers who will be doing a lot of highway driving. The CVT is smooth and easy to use; the car is reliable and comfortable, and Honda’s service experience is generally very good. This Honda car also offers a comfortable ride and a spacious cabin, making it a strong long-term ownership proposition. If you need the car now, there is no strong reason to wait. The current car is already a well-rounded package, and Honda’s updates are usually incremental rather than radical. If you want an alternative, the Maruti Suzuki Dzire AMT is worth considering. This Maruti Suzuki car is reliable, efficient and easy to drive, but the Amaze’s CVT is smoother and better suited to highway driving.
Hey, I am thinking of buying the new Honda Amaze ZX CVT 3rd generation but I was wondering when can we expect its facelift and should I wait for it?
The Honda Amaze 3rd gen was launched in December 2024, so a facelift is unlikely in the immediate future. Honda typically follows a 3-4 year product cycle, which means a facelift is more likely around 2028. If you need the car now, there is no strong reason to wait. The Amaze ZX CVT is a sensible choice for city driving, offering a smooth CVT, good fuel efficiency and Honda's reputation for reliability. Wait only if you are in no rush and specifically want the latest update that'll bring some cosmetic changes and feature additions.
I’m a first-time car buyer. My usage will be around 40% city driving and 60% on state highways, with a monthly running of approximately 800-1,000 km. The roads are somewhat okay, with some bad stretches but mostly good roads. I’m looking for an automatic transmission. Hatchbacks, compact sedans, and compact SUVs are all fine. My budget is flexible, between Rs. 12 lakh and Rs. 14 lakh. I have shortlisted 3-4 vehicles, namely: 1. Honda Amaze ZX CVT 2. Maruti Brezza ZXi Automatic 3. Mahindra XUV 3XO AX5 Automatic Any other car recommendations are also welcome. I am currently posted in Varanasi, if that helps.
With 40 percent city and 60 percent highway use, the 3XO is the better fit among your three choices. Its turbo petrol engine has considerably stronger low- and mid-range performance than the Brezza and Amaze, which will be useful on state highways, particularly when carrying passengers and luggage. It also has a well-judged ride that copes well with broken roads. The Brezza ZXi AT would be the choice for easier ownership. Its petrol engine is smoother, and Maruti's service network is a significant advantage, while its ride quality is very good on poor roads. It is also the more relaxed choice if outright performance is not important. The Amaze ZX CVT is worth considering if you prefer a sedan. Its CVT is smooth, and the suspension is comfortable over rough city roads, while the large boot is useful for highway trips. However, its engine lacks the punch of the 3XO, particularly with a full load, and the cabin is narrower. The Skoda Kylaq 1.0 TSI AT is also worth adding to the shortlist if driving enjoyment is important. It has a well sorted chassis and a conventional automatic, making it particularly appealing for your highway heavy usage.
I need your expert advice on purchasing a new automatic CNG car. I am currently considering the Honda Amaze VX CVT with a government-approved sequential CNG kit retrofit and the factory-fitted Tata Punch Accomplished Plus S CNG AMT. I am also open to other recommendations within this price range. My on-road budget is a maximum of Rs 12 lakh, and my monthly running is around 900-1,200 km, with 80% city driving in heavy traffic and 20% weekend highway trips. I am based in Delhi-NCR and want a reliable CNG setup paired with an automatic transmission. My main concern is dealing with heavy traffic, bad road patches, potholes and severe waterlogging during the Delhi monsoon. I am specifically considering the top-spec Punch because I intend to keep the car for at least 10 years. I want a well-equipped, future-proof car so that I do not regret missing out on features later. If CNG retrofitment is possible on the top-spec Honda Amaze, I would consider that version as well. My key priorities are a stress-free automatic driving experience, sufficient ground clearance to tackle potholes and waterlogged roads, and low long-term maintenance costs. Given these requirements, which car would offer the most durable, hassle-free and enjoyable ownership experience?
Go for the Tata Punch Accomplished Plus S CNG AMT. The Punch’s high ground clearance and SUV-like stance make it far better suited to bad roads and monsoon conditions than the Honda Amaze. The factory-fitted CNG system is also a big advantage. It’s fully integrated, covered by the manufacturer's warranty, and you avoid the potential reliability and warranty complications that can come with aftermarket kits. The AMT gearbox is not as smooth as Honda’s CVT, but it is reliable and gets the job done in city traffic. The Punch also gives you the peace of mind of a top-spec variant from day one, so you won’t feel like you’re missing out on features later. The Amaze VX CVT is a good car, but retrofitting CNG to a top model is not as clean a solution, and the low ground clearance is a real drawback for your usage.
Hi Team, I am planning an upgrade from my Honda Amaze 2016 model to a compact SUV or a spacious hatchback with a budget not exceeding 11 lakhs. My daily usage is 55-60 kms, so monthly a 1.1k kms. Plus, I drive daily on the highway, with bumper-to-bumper traffic half the time.
With a daily 55-60 km commute that is split between highway and bumper-to-bumper traffic, your priority should be a car that is comfortable, easy to drive and fuel-efficient. At around 1,100 km a month, you are right on the threshold where fuel efficiency starts to matter, but not enough to justify the higher cost and complexity of a diesel or hybrid. A petrol engine with a smooth automatic gearbox is the sweet spot here.Given your budget of Rs 11 lakh, the Maruti Suzuki Baleno is the most sensible upgrade from your Honda Amaze. It is a spacious hatchback with a comfortable ride, a refined petrol engine and a smooth automatic gearbox that makes daily traffic far less tiring. The Baleno also offers excellent fuel efficiency, low maintenance costs and Maruti's unmatched service network, which is important for long-term ownership. The AMT gearbox works well in the city and takes the sting off your left foot in traffic. If you are set on a compact SUV, the Maruti Suzuki Fronx is the best fit within your budget. It gets a four-cylinder petrol engine that is refined and punchy and offers a higher seating position and better ground clearance, which can be useful on rough patches and speed breakers. However, you will have to settle for a lower variant compared to the Baleno.Between the two, the Baleno is the better choice for your usage. It is more spacious, more comfortable and better value for money. The Fronx only makes sense if you specifically want the SUV stance.
