Tata Motors has announced pricing for its first electric SUV, the Nexon EV, just yesterday. Bookings for the all-electric SUV commenced late last year and deliveries are expected to commence shortly. Prices for the Nexon EV start at Rs 13.99 lakh for the base XM variant and go up to Rs 15.99 lakh for the top-end XZ+ LUX variant.

The all-electric Nexon shares styling with the facelifted version of the standard Nexon SUV, prices for which were announced recently. It features Tata's new Ziptron EV technology and comes with a 30.2kWh lithium-ion battery pack that powers an electric motor capable of producing 129hp and 245Nm of torque. ARAI has certified the Nexon EV's range at 312km on a full charge.

The Nexon EV will see stiff competition from the upcoming Mahindra XUV300 EV. The only other EVs in India that are comparable are the more expensive MG ZS EV and the Hyundai Kona EV.
