Tata Motors has launched the fleet-only Xpres sedan priced at Rs 5.59 lakh and Rs 6.59 lakh ex-showroom, respectively, for petrol and CNG variants. Based on the Tigor, the Xpres is the ICE-powered counterpart to the already existing Xpres-T EV, which also caters to fleet operators.

Tata Xpres petrol and CNG variant details
Powering the Tata Xpres petrol is a 1.2-litre engine producing 86hp and 113Nm of torque, mated to a 5-speed manual transmission only. The Xpres CNG pairs a CNG kit to the petrol engine, though power figures for it have not yet been disclosed.
The petrol variant offers a boot space of 419 litres. This figure has not been revealed for the CNG version, which is fitted with twin cylinders that can hold 70 litres (water capacity); this setup takes up less boot space than a single, large CNG tank.
Just like the Xpres-T EV, the ICE-powered Xpres rides on 14-inch steel wheels, though they sport black covers instead of silver. Coming to the interior, the Xpres gets a dual-tone cabin as opposed to an all-black one for the EV, but it lacks an audio system, unlike the electric model.
Also missing are features such as an infotainment system and a vehicle location tracking device with panic buttons, something which Hyundai offers on its fleet models. However, these can be retrofitted. Like the Xpres-T, the Xpres also skips on some comfort and convenience features, such as rear AC vents and Type-C charging ports.
Tata is offering a standard warranty of 3 years/1,00,000km, which can be extended to 5 years/1,80,000km, along with flexible finance options. It has established fleet-focused dealerships in select cities for sales and service support. Other carmakers who have previously launched fleet-only vehicles include Hyundai, Toyota and Maruti Suzuki.
