    The Tata Altroz iTurbo has finally been launched after a considerable wait. The arrival of the turbo-petrol variant has taken place almost a year after Tata launched the Altroz with a turbo-diesel and a naturally aspirated petrol engine.

    Prices for the iTurbo start from Rs 7.74 lakh and go up to Rs 8.86 lakh (introductory, ex-showroom, India). While Tata offers the standard turbo-diesel and naturally aspirated petrol Altroz in six trim levels (the XZ+ has been introduced across the range with the launch of the iTurbo), it only offers the iTurbo in three trim levels – XT, XZ, and XZ+.

    Tata Altroz iTurbo: engine and powertrain details

    Under the bonnet, the Altroz iTurbo gets a 1.2-litre turbocharged petrol engine making 110hp and 140Nm of torque. As with the standard Altroz, the iTurbo is paired with a 5-speed manual gearbox as standard, although a dual-clutch automatic is in the works, as confirmed by Tata.
