Skoda Octavia RS sold out India

Skoda India opened bookings for the upcoming Octavia RS just earlier this week for a token amount of Rs 2.50 lakh. Only 100 units were allocated and all of them have already been spoken for ahead of the scheduled price announcement on October 17. The Skoda Octavia RS is arriving in India as a full import, and prices are expected to be around the Rs 50 lakh-55 lakh (ex-showroom) mark.

  1. Skoda Octavia RS gets a 265hp, 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine
  2. Claimed 0-100kph time of 6.4 seconds; top-speed limited to 250kph
  3. Features include a 12.9-inch touchscreen, ADAS suite, 19-inch alloys

The Octavia RS has always enjoyed a cult status in India, and the enthusiasm for the new fourth-generation model is no surprise. Even the previous-generation Octavia RS 245 launched in 2020 (limited to 200 units) was sold out in a little over a month’s time. However, there could be some cancellations post the price announcement, so interested buyers can try checking with a Skoda dealer near them post its launch.

Under the hood, the latest Octavia RS gets a 265hp, 370Nm 2.0-litre, 4-pot, turbo-petrol engine, making it the most powerful iteration of the Octavia RS ever. The India-spec Octavia RS will also come equipped with a sports exhaust system as standard.

There will be five paint options on offer: Mamba Green, Magic Black, Candy White, Race Blue and Velvet Red. The interior will come finished in all-black suede and leatherette upholstery.
