Skoda Octavia RS engine and specs
The Octavia RS is making a comeback in India after over five years, and in its latest fourth-generation guise, it gets a 265hp, 370Nm 2.0-litre, 4-pot, turbo-petrol engine, making it the most powerful iteration of the Octavia RS ever. The same 2.0 TSI block is used in the Skoda Kodiaq RS and Volkswagen Golf GTI.

Transmission duties are handled by a quick-shifting 7-speed DSG (or dual-clutch) automatic gearbox, and power goes to the front wheels. Skoda claims a 0-100kph time of 6.4 seconds and an electronically limited top speed of 250kph; the car also gets a sports exhaust system.
Skoda Octavia RS colours and features
In India, Skoda will offer the Octavia RS in five paint options – Mamba Green, Magic Black, Candy White, Race Blue and Velvet Red – and with 19-inch alloy wheels.
As for features, the Octavia RS will come equipped with LED Matrix headlamps, front sports seats upholstered in suede and leatherette, interior ambient lighting, a 10.25-inch digital driver’s display, a head-up display, a 12.9-inch central infotainment screen, an 11-speaker Canton sound system, a wireless charger, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a 360-degree camera, 3-zone auto climate control, powered and heated front seats with massage function, a powered tailgate, 10 airbags and ADAS.

Being an RS model, it has plenty of sporty accents on the outside, including a blacked-out grille with an RS badge, a subtle spoiler on the boot lid and a blacked-out exhaust tip. Meanwhile, its all-black interior is finished in suede, leatherette and piano-black plastic and is contrasted by red stitching.
The Skoda Octavia RS ex-showroom price is expected to be between Rs 50 lakh and Rs 55 lakh. The car has no direct rivals in our market.
