The exterior of the 911 Carrera 4S facelift is more or less identical to that of the Carrera S – from the staggered 20-inch front and 21-inch rear alloys to the wide rear arches and large intakes. However, the 4S is also available in the Targa body style, unlike the S.

Compared to the S, the Carrera 4S’s interior comes with leather upholstery on the seats, headrests, dashboard and doors as standard, along with Matrix LED headlights and wireless charging. As is typical of current 911 Carrera Coupe models, the Carrera 4S comes as a two-seater, with the option to add rear seats at no additional cost. The Cabriolet and Targa get rear seats as standard.

480hp flat-six engine is only available with an 8-speed dual-clutch auto

Like the Carrera S, the 4S models use the 3.0-litre twin-turbo flat-six that produces 480hp (30hp more than its predecessor) and 529Nm of peak torque. Porsche claims a 0-100kph time of 3.1 seconds with the optional Sport Chrono Pack and Launch Control system, and a top speed of 307kph. The turbocharged flat-six engine comes with an 8-speed dual-clutch automatic as standard, which sends power to all four wheels. The new sports exhaust seen on the Carrera S also features on the 4S.

911 Carrera 4S Targa gets rear-wheel steering as standard

The 911 Carrera 4S also shares its 408mm front disc and 380mm rear disc brakes with the Carrera S and GTS models. While the Targa version gets rear-wheel steering as standard, the Coupe and Cabriolet have it as an optional extra. Porsche Ceramic Composite Brakes (PCCB) and the brand’s sport suspension pack (which lowers the ride height by 10mm) are also available as options.
