UPDATE: Maruti Suzuki Baleno facelift brochure leaked ahead of launch

Maruti Suzuki is all set to introduce a mid-cycle refresh for the Baleno in the coming days. Like its predecessor, the updated Baleno will continue to be sold via the carmaker’s premium dealership channel, Nexa. Maruti Suzuki has already begun accepting bookings for the refreshed premium hatchback, with booking amount set at Rs 11,000. Stocks of the pre-facelift Baleno are almost over at most locations and dealers have begun receiving bookings for the facelifted car.

Dealer-level sources tell us that the updated Baleno will get a new design for the front and rear bumpers, with the front bumper being a bit similar to Maruti Suzuki’s new Wagon R that comes with angular inserts for fog lamps. Additionally, the carmaker is expected to add LED projector headlamps on most variants, with only the base trim likely to continue with standard halogen headlights. The refreshed Baleno will also get more equipment on the inside including the new SmartPlay Studio infotainment system that made its debut on the Wagon R. On the inside, the updated premium hatchback will also sport new black and blue combination for the seat texture and door trims. The company has also confirmed that all variants of the Baleno facelift will come with rear parking sensors, speed warning and passenger seatbelt warning as standard.

The Maruti Suzuki Baleno will continue to be sold with the same 1.2-litre petrol and a 1.3-litre diesel engine options. There will be no diesel-AMT, just like the pre-facelift model. Maruti Suzuki will also update the Baleno RS, which will continue to be sold with a 1.0-litre petrol engine, and it will feature slightly updated all-black interiors and new alloy wheel design.
