Mahindra Scorpio Classic: January 2023 price hike

Compared to the launch prices, the prices of the Scorpio Classic’s S and S11 trims have gone up by Rs 65,200. The hike is uniform across the variants as the Scorpio Classic is available with three seating layouts – two 7-seaters and one 9-seater.

The S and S11 trims are available with two 7-seater configurations – a  2-3-2 layout that has a bench seat in the middle and two single jump seats in the third row, and a 2-2-3 seating layout, with captain's seats in the second row and a bench seat in the third. Meanwhile, the 9-seater configuration, which comes with a 2-3-4 layout with double side-facing jump seats for the third row, is only reserved for the S trim.

    Mahindra Scorpio Classic: powertrain

The Scorpio Classic is powered by a sole Gen 2 mHawk diesel engine, which puts out 132hp and 300Nm of peak torque. This engine delivers power to the rear wheels via a 6-speed manual gearbox. However, the Scorpio Classic lacks the automatic gearbox and the 4x4 option that were available on the previous-gen model.

    Mahindra Scorpio Classic: waiting period

The Scorpio Classic currently commands an average waiting period of around 5-6 months for both the base S and the top-spec S11 trims.
