Scorpio Classic is more reliable and the refinement is almost the same compared to N. The 3rd row in Classic is more spacious and better. Classic only lacks when it comes to features.

I own a scorpio classic 2006 model in immaculate shape. It is most reliable and comparable to electronic toys as the current genre can ditch anytime on long drives. The 2600 cc engine is rugged with basic instruments, and maintenance is minimal. It's sturdy on all terrains of India. Go for classic, it won't cost you much in maintenance for long-term use.

Scorpio Classic has massive road presence and lower cost of parts and servicing. It offers less tech but long-lasting durability, often seen with 17-18 year old models on the road. The second row seat provides unmatched thigh support. If you value these over electronic features, it's a good choice.

The Mahindra Scorpio Classic variant with captain seats in the second row and a spacious bench seat in the third row is worth considering. I believe it offers better safety than the Innova Crysta, especially in the third row.
