Hyundai has launched the updated Ioniq 5 in India at Rs 55.7 lakh (ex-showroom), bringing a set of revisions to its electric SUV covering battery, design, technology and safety. The facelift introduces a larger battery pack, updated styling elements and new features. Built on Hyundai’s E-GMP platform, the Ioniq 5 continues as the brand’s flagship electric offering in India.

The biggest change is the introduction of a larger 84.0kWh battery pack, replacing the earlier 72.6kWh unit. Hyundai claims an ARAI-certified range of up to 690km, making it one of the highest among EVs currently on sale in India.
Hyundai has not revealed power figures for the India-spec model. However, globally, the rear-wheel-drive version with the 84kWh battery produces 229hp and 350Nm.

The facelift retains the Ioniq 5’s overall design and Parametric Pixel styling, but introduces a set of incremental updates. Up front, it gets a revised bumper with a more open design, along with new skid plates. In profile, the changes are limited to a new set of alloy wheels. At the rear, updates include a redesigned bumper, a new roof spoiler and a revised V-garnish lighting element, while the pixel-based lighting signature continues unchanged.
The facelifted Ioniq 5 is offered in four exterior colours: Gravity Gold Matte, Midnight Black Pearl, Titan Grey and Optic White, paired with an Obsidian Black interior theme.

Inside, the Ioniq 5 continues with a dual-screen layout comprising two 12.3-inch displays for infotainment and instrument cluster. The update introduces a new three-spoke steering wheel featuring an illuminated 4-dot design and a heating function.
The centre console has been revised and now includes additional physical controls for functions such as seat heating and ventilation. The wireless charging pad has also been repositioned, along with updated cup holders.

On the technology front, the facelift adds Hyundai’s Connected Car Navigation Cockpit (ccNC), controller over-the-air (C-OTA) updates, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, and in-car payment integration for EV charging. A new remote immobilisation feature has also been introduced via Hyundai’s Bluelink system.
The updated Ioniq 5 also gets additional driver assistance features, including parking collision-avoidance assist (rear) and side parking distance warning.
