Citroen C3 Aircross spy shots

Citroen’s next big product for India, the all-new C3 Aircross SUV, will make its global debut on Thursday, April 27. Now, ahead of its unveiling, fresh spy shots of the upcoming SUV have surfaced confirming new details and features.

Price announcement and market launch for the Citroen C3 Aircross could take place in the second half of this year.

  1. Citroen C3 Aircross to get two seating layouts
  2. Will come with full digital instrument cluster
  3. Two petrol powertrains expected

Citroen C3 Aircross: five-, seven-seat layout, more features

As we reported a few months ago, the Citroen C3 Aircross will come with three-row seating as seen in these spy shots. There are talks of a five-seater variant being sold alongside.

The dashboard looks similar to the smaller C3, but there will be some differences as the C3 Aircross is expected to be wider. The touchscreen infotainment, a 10.2-inch unit, seems to be the same as the one seen on the C3. One of the major feature add-ons seen on the Aircross will be the full-digital instrument cluster that also gets a tachometer, something that's not available on the C3 so far.

The C3 Aircross is also expected to get drive modes. Additionally, what can also be confirmed from the spy shots, is the presence of AC vents mounted on the roof for second and third row passengers along with blower control. Third row passengers also get their own USB charging ports.

Citroen C3 Aircross exterior styling revealed

The styling of the C3 Aircross' front end has also been leaked. It still has the Citroen family look and is more upmarket than the C3. There’s a mix of chrome, LED elements and piano black finish up front, including a faux aluminium look on the lower bumper area. As visible in the spy shots, higher variants will come with alloy wheels with a funky design.

Citroen C3 Aircross two powertrains on offer

The C3 Aircross SUV is expected to come with a 1.2-liter turbo petrol engine good for 110hp. Gearbox choices are expected to be limited to a six-speed manual and an automatic.

Citroen C3 Aircross expected rivals

With the five-seater variants of the C3 Aircross SUV, Citroen seems to be aiming at the lower end of the midsize SUV segment, which include the naturally aspirated versions of the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Maruti Grand Vitara and the Toyota Hyryder. Similarly, it could price the seven-seater variants with the higher trims of the Creta and Seltos.
