MG will be launching the new 'Majestor' nameplate in India on February 12, 2026. The Chinese-owned British automaker’s teaser campaign so far has revealed several exterior and a few interior details of its new flagship three-row SUV. Piecing all of these together and based on all that we have gathered thus far, here’s what you can expect from the upcoming MG Majestor.

1. What will the 2026 MG Majestor look like?

The Majestor borrows plenty of styling cues from the global-spec Maxus D90 SUV.

The official teasers by MG India showcase the Majestor’s impressive dimensions clearly. While the actual figures for the India-spec model are under wraps, the Majestor that has been introduced in Kuwait as the 'Rakan' measures 5,046mm in length, 2,016mm in width, 1,876mm in height, and has a wheelbase of 2,950mm. These dimensions are unlikely to see major alterations for India. It wouldn’t be incorrect to say that like the Gloster before it, the new MG Majestor will occupy a fair amount of real estate on our roads.

MG Majestor side profile

In terms of the exterior design, the new teasers confirm what we already expected. The imposing front fascia houses an oversized grille with thin vertical LEDs on either side, and a grey and black trim protruding out from under the bumper. Situated on either side of this bumper are vertically arranged LED headlights, whilst the multi-unit LED DRLs are placed on the grille and also up near the bonnet.

The side profile reveals black plastic cladding on the wheel arches and lower portions of the doors, alongside chrome trim on the sidesteps and front fender garnish. MG is likely to offer the top variants of the Majestor with 19-inch wheels (like with the Gloster). Furthermore, the upright rear facade of the Majestor houses stylish LED tail-lights with dual light bars running its whole width. The chunky bumper, meanwhile, gets two-tone plastic cladding and integrated faux exhaust tips. Finally, the squared-off tailgate has ‘Morris Garages’ and ‘Majestor’ written in bold font.

2. How will be the interior of the 2026 MG Majestor?

The interior should at least be as spacious and premium as the Gloster.

Apart from a few changes over the Kuwait-spec model, the interior of the India-spec Majestor will mostly carry over as is. Compared to the Gloster, MG has updated the design of the dashboard and centre console while also introducing a new touchscreen. While the new teasers haven’t revealed the interior of the India-spec model, we expect it to come with a two-tone dashboard, leather seats, faux metallic trim and a piano-black finish.

Premium touches such as the knurled dials for the rear HVAC unit, and soft-touch materials on the dash, centre console and doors are expected to make it to the India-spec Majestor as well. Like the Gloster, the new Majestor should also be offered in 6- and 7-seater configurations.

3. What features will be offered with the 2026 MG Majestor?

The feature-set is expected to be similar to a global-spec model.

Some of the key features expected with the new Majestor are a motion-sensing tailgate, a twin-pane panoramic sunroof, tri-zone automatic climate control and a 64-colour ambient lighting system. Other features include paddle shifters, an electronic parking brake, selectable terrain and drive modes, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a premium audio system, a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 12.3-inch digital driver’s display, and wireless charging.

MG Majestor terrain modes

The new MG SUV’s comfort-enhancing add-ons may involve heated and cooled seats, with possibly a massaging function for the driver. Some of the safety features on offer in other markets include 360-degree cameras, 6 airbags, front and rear parking sensors, blind-spot detection, rear cross-traffic alert, and lane-change assist. These will be accompanied by hill-hold control, hill-descent control, electronic stability programme, traction control system and an automatic brake-hold function.

4. What engine will the 2026 MG Majestor get?

The new model will likely be powered by the Gloster’s twin-turbo diesel engine.

MG Majestor side profile

Under the mildly chiselled bonnet of the MG Majestor is likely to be the 2.0-litre four-cylinder diesel engine from the Gloster, where it produces 215hp and 478Nm. This twin-turbo diesel engine is paired with an 8-speed torque-converter automatic transmission, which drives all four wheels via an on-demand four-wheel-drive (4WD) system. The upcoming Majestor would possibly use this same powertrain setup, whilst featuring MG’s ‘All Terrain System’ with normal, rock, mud, snow and sand modes.

The MG Gloster is also available with another 2.0-litre diesel engine with just one turbocharger. Producing 161hp and 373Nm of torque, it is only available with a rear-wheel-drive configuration. However, it is unlikely that this powertrain will make it to the new Majestor.

5. What is the expected price of the 2026 MG Majestor?

As the brand’s next flagship SUV, the MG Majestor will be positioned above the Gloster, and will therefore command a premium price tag as well. For reference, the Gloster is priced from Rs 38.33 lakh to Rs 46.26 lakh for the entry-level Sharp and top Desert Storm trims, respectively. Upon its launch, the new Majestor’s closest rival will be the Toyota Fortuner, with the Jeep Meridian and Skoda Kodiaq being suitable alternates too.
