MG has launched the Majestor SUV as its flagship combustion-powered model, replacing the Gloster. Interestingly, the Majestor is a facelifted version of the Gloster in the international markets. Compared to the Gloster, MG has equipped the Majestor with some mechanical upgrades and new comfort and convenience features. Do these additions justify the price gap? Let us find out.
2026 MG Majestor: How different are its prices from the Gloster?
MG has revealed prices of only the Majestor’s top-end Savvy trim
While the price of the Majestor’s entry-level Sharp trim is yet to be revealed, the rear-wheel-drive Savvy’s price is Rs 1.19 lakh more than the Gloster’s Savvy RWD. This increment is justified, as it is not just 61mm longer and 90mm wider for improved road presence, but it also adds some features compared to the Gloster. These include a new 12.3-inch infotainment system, a larger 12.3-inch digital driver’s display compared to the Gloster’s 8-inch unit, a ventilated co-driver’s seat with massage function and dual wireless phone chargers, which elevate the in-cabin experience.

With the 4WD version, the price increase is Rs 2.50 lakh, but unlike the Gloster, this powertrain is available only with 7 seats. However, the Majestor is mechanically stronger, as it gets new locking differentials at the front, rear and centre for enhanced grip on tricky surfaces. It also features a low-range transfer case that further improves the traction. Hence, the price hike for the 4WD variant of the Majestor, although significant, is reasonable.
Prices are ex-showroom, India.
