Maruti Suzuki is slated to introduce a comprehensive update to the Brezza on July 24, 2026. The compact SUV is expected to arrive with a fresh exterior, an upgraded interior, new features and, most importantly, a new engine option.

  1. Expected to arrive with a new turbo-petrol engine, likely from the Fronx
  2. Subtle design revisions and feature additions expected

The biggest change to the updated Brezza could be under the hood. For the first time in its line-up, the Brezza is expected to receive a turbo-petrol engine. It is likely to be the 1.0-litre unit that powers the Fronx, where it churns out 100hp and 148Nm. The engine could be mated to a 6-speed manual transmission, as a test mule of the SUV was spied with this gearbox in February 2026.

If the 1.0-litre mill is introduced with the update, it would finally make the Brezza eligible for the lower 18 percent GST rate for sub-4m cars with up to 1,200cc petrol or up to 1,500cc diesel engines. Currently, the Brezza is the only SUV in its segment that does not offer a turbo-petrol variant. As with other Maruti models, the Brezza could also offer a CNG option with this engine.

Revised exterior styling and a more upmarket interior likely

The updated Brezza is likely to arrive with minor cosmetic enhancements. These include redone bumpers and lighting elements. The LED tail-lamps could be connected by a segmented bar, as seen on the larger Victoris SUV. Spy shots of the Brezza also revealed a new 4-spoke alloy wheel design.

As for the cabin, while the overall layout is likely to be similar, expect changes to trim materials and colour scheme for a more premium feel. Moving to features, Maruti could equip the updated Brezza with the same 10.1-inch infotainment screen as the Victoris, a powered driver’s seat, front-seat ventilation and ambient lighting. The safety package could include Level 2 ADAS (advanced driver assistance systems). Test mules also revealed the front parking sensors on the bumper, which could be a possible inclusion.

Updated Maruti Suzuki Brezza: Expected price

With the extensive updates, expect the updated Brezza to have a slight premium over the current model, which is priced between Rs 8.26 lakh and Rs 12.86 lakh. The Brezza will continue to take on the likes of the Hyundai Venue, Tata Nexon, Skoda Kylaq, Mahindra XUV 3XO, Kia Sonet and Syros.
