Ford EcoSport most popular used compact SUV in Q1 2025: Spinny

    Prominent pre-owned cars marketplace Spinny has revealed that during the first three months of 2025, buyers looking for a used compact SUV gravitated most towards the Ford EcoSport. It was followed by the Tata Nexon and Hyundai Venue on the list of Spinny’s top-selling used compact SUVs.

    Spinny used car sales statistics and trends for Q1 2025

    According to Spinny’s recently released Q1 2025 financial report, the EcoSport, Nexon and Venue helped drive a 20 percent year-on-year increase in used compact SUV sales for the platform. The order of popularity is rather interesting, considering that Ford stopped selling the EcoSport in India back in September 2021, while the Nexon and Venue are still on sale.

    Jeep Compass tops used luxury car popularity rankings

    Coming to pre-owned luxury cars sold through Spinny, the Jeep Compass emerged on top, followed by the BMW X1 and Mercedes-Benz GLA. This trio commands a 30 percent share of Spinny’s overall sales volume in Delhi.

    Swift, Grand i10, and Kwid remain most popular used cars

    In Q1 2025, the Maruti Suzuki Swift, Hyundai Grand i10 and Renault Kwid were the highest-selling pre-owned cars on Spinny. It was much the same last year, as revealed in Spinny’s annual 2024 sales report. Additionally, the sales share for pre-owned automatic cars stood at 29 percent in Q1 2025, a growth of 5 percent from 2024.

    Spinny records rise in female car buyers

    In 2024, women accounted for 26 percent of Spinny’s total sales volumes, and in Q1 2025, that number rose to 30 percent. The report also showed that most female buyers come from Kochi. A staggering 60 percent of women opted for automatic hatchbacks, and 18 percent bought compact SUVs.
