Volkswagen Tera specifications

The Volkswagen Tera will be a sub-four-metre SUV powered by a 1.0-litre TSI turbo-petrol engine. It will be offered with a manual gearbox and an eight-speed automatic transmission at launch.

The Tera will use a front-wheel-drive layout and is expected to share its basic mechanical package with the group's existing compact SUV architecture. Volkswagen will make significant changes to the exterior and interior to give the Tera its own identity.

Dimensions

The Tera will measure less than four metres in length, allowing it to qualify for India’s sub-four-metre vehicle category. Its final length, width, height and wheelbase have not yet been confirmed.
