Mahindra BE 6 FAQs
Yes, the BE 6 features three levels of regenerative braking. It also offers a single pedal drive mode.
The Mahindra BE 6 is for those who want a midsize electric SUV with a radical design, along with a long list of features, strong performance and practical range.
Mahindra claims an ARAI-rated figure of 535km for the 59kWh BE 6. While the real-world range will differ from the ARAI figure due to driving conditions and a lot of other factors, it's likely to be adequate for city use and even some inter-city runs.
Due to the sloping rear roofline, headroom is tight for taller passengers. While you are not seated in a particularly knees-up position, taller passengers will find under-thigh support lacking, and the thick door pads mean that seating three adults here won’t be comfortable either. But you do get a lot of legroom, and the backrest recline is adjustable.
The BYOD or Bring Your Own Device feature allows passengers to dock their smartphone or tablet on the front seatback and sync it with the front screens to either stream videos or control certain functions of the SUV.
Mahindra has equipped the BE 6 with a total of 16 speakers, the highest in the midsize EV segment. The Tata Sierra EV comes the closest with 12 speakers.
Mahindra claims a maximum range of 682km for the BE 6 with 79kWh battery pack. Save for the base-spec Pack One, the rest of the Mahindra BE 6 trims come with a fixed glass roof. Ambient lighting integrated into the glass roof is exclusive to the top-end Pack Three trim.

No, a 360-degree camera setup is offered only on the Pack Three Select and Pack Three trims.
The 59kWh Mahindra BE 6 Pack One Above is the most value for money variant of the EV, packing features like wireless charger, dual-zone AC, fixed glass roof, TPMS with individual tyre pressure, 19-inch wheels with aero covers, 6 airbags, twin 12.3-inch screens: touchscreen and driver's display, and a lot more. But if budget is not a constraint, consider the 79kWh Pack Two variant.
The Mahindra BE 6 comes with a rear-mounted motor with rear-wheel drive only, but the architecture is capable of supporting a secondary front motor, which will enable all-wheel drive. As of now, there is no word from Mahindra on the launch of the BE 6 AWD.
In addition to the Pack Three, a Level 2 ADAS suite is offered in the Pack Two and Pack Three Select trims as well.
Considering a 10 percent down payment and 7-year loan tenure, the BE 6 EMI starts at Rs 28,960 in Delhi.
