Citroen Aircross variants comparison
Citroen Aircross Specifications - User Reviews
I'm impressed with the performance of the Citroen Aircross. However, I have concerns about the service network issue in India.
I own one, ignore reviews of feature geeks, vehicle is for travel and comfort not an apartment with kichen, aircross is large, comfy, practical, great suspension, best output engine, if if comes to service points you only goes to service for oil change and stuff if you are a good driver, every one boarded my car praised it. Except these reviewers.

As the owner of an Aircross X AT, I find it to be a brilliant machine. It has one of the best suspension setups for vehicles under 20 lakh.

Hello Autocar, kindly help me choose between the Elevate ZX Manual and the Aircross Pure Tech AT for driving in city in weekdays and hills and highways in weekends. I want a fun-to-ride but equally comfortable ride for rear seat passengers.

autocar.india
Both the Honda Elevate and the Citroen Aircross have a very good ride quality and are powered by responsive engines. For your requirements, you would not go wrong with either. However, to quantify between the two, we would rate the Aircross better in terms of ride quality, engine performance and refinement. Thus, we would recommend you pick the Citroen since driving pleasure and ride quality are very important to you. However, make sure there is a dealer in your area and in the areas you plan to drive to, as the Citroen network is very sparse at the moment.

My budget is ₹12-15 lakh. I need a car for a family of five, with priorities in this order: safety, reliability, comfort on bad roads, value for money, and highway comfort. I’m not keen on gimmicky features. I’m leaning toward the Citroen Aircross X but also considering the 3XO, Taisor, and Honda City.

autocar.india
We suggest going for the Citroen Aircross X or the Basalt as they are larger than the Mahindra 3XO, Toyota Urban Cruiser Taisor or even the Honda City. Both are these Citroen cars are spacious, have excellent ride quality, and offer great comfort in the front and rear seats. The turbo petrol engine has ample power for city and highway use, and the massive boot adds to its practicality. While it misses out on a few features compared to the Mahindra XUV 3XO, it more than makes up for it with comfort and practicality, which perfectly suit your needs.

Hi, which 6-seater SUV should I buy around 15 lakh in Pune? I am looking for good safety, average performance with around 15+ kmpl mileage, a sunroof, and an automatic with decent power.

autocar.india
The Kia Carens diesel automatic is the closest match to your brief. It is not an SUV in shape, but it gives you the space, easy access to the third row, and the features you want at this price. Pick the diesel with the automatic gearbox, because that is the one most likely to meet your 15kpl goal in real-world use while still feeling strong enough with a full load. The Carens also offers important safety gear across trims like multiple airbags and stability control, and mid-to-higher trims offer a sunroof, which makes long trips nicer for the second row.Two things to keep in mind for your budget. The exact Carens trim that bundles diesel, automatic and a sunroof may sit a bit above Rs 15 lakh on-road in Pune, so you may need a small stretch of the budget. Also, it feels more like a family car than a tough SUV, so if you want a high, rugged feel, this will not give you that.If the sunroof is not a must and you want to stick closer to Rs 15 lakh, the Maruti Suzuki XL6 automatic 6-seater is the value pick. It is smooth in the city, uses less fuel than most petrol rivals, and is easy to live with, but it does not offer a sunroof, and its engine isn't punchy. If you must have an SUV, there is the Citroen Aircross, which also offers smoothness and punch. That said, its third row is not as spacious as the others, and it also doesn't offer a sunroof.

Hi, currently, I am using a Tata Altroz petrol manual XZ (2020). Now, I want to upgrade to a mid-size SUV. My driving is 50% in the city and 50% on highways. My budget is ₹15 lakh. My priorities are safety, space, comfort, mileage as well as a smooth and powerful engine. I prefer a manual car. Kindly suggest.

Given your requirements, you could shortlist Skoda Kushaq Classic+, Citroen Aircross X Max and Honda Elevate V MT. All of these are excellent options with powerful engines and manual transmission. The Kushaq has been updated recently, and its entry-level Classic+ variant covers the basics well, and is the most affordable of the bunch. The Citroen car that we have mentioned has an excellent turbo-petrol engine, and the nicest ride quality. It is also gives you the option of seven seats at this price. The Elevate is a no-nonsense SUV with a strong, high-revving naturally aspirated petrol engine and an excellent ride-handling balance. We'd recommend you drive all three and pick the one that meets all your requirements.

Dear team, I want to sell my Swift VDI diesel and am planning to buy the Citroen Aircross X. I really like the Aircross X design compared to all the compact SUVs. My budget is under ₹15 lakh. How would you rate the Citroen Aircross X in terms of reliability, safety, and drivability, especially with respect to after-sales service? Thank you.

autocar.india
The Citroen Aircross X is quite unconventional in its design and has a certain appeal. As a product, the Aircross X is fantastic value for money. It doesn’t exude the same richness as other mid-size SUVs that are better equipped. Still, it makes up for it with solid fundamentals, such as a brilliant 1.2 turbo petrol engine, comfortable seats, exceptional ride quality, and easy handling. It’s pretty fuel-efficient, too. The only worry is the dealer network, which is quite poor and unresponsive, but we hear that after the X models of Citroen have been launched, the dealers are motivated to raise their game as well. This is certainly a car we would recommend, but with the rider that you thoroughly check out the Citroen dealer in your area before you sign the cheque.

I want to buy a car with an on-road budget of ₹10-12 lakh. My priorities are safety and mileage, with rear-seat space (for sleeping) as an optional preference. I do occasional long drives and typically drive about 100 km per week. I listed the Tata Nexon only to fill the form; please suggest the most appropriate car.

autocar.india
The Kia Syros is a great option for you due to its spacious cabin and backseats, which recline for more comfort. Furthermore, its boxy design enhances the sense of space inside this cabin. Another good, spacious option is the Citroen Aircross X, which is a large car for compact SUV money. If you have a Citroen showroom near you, it is worth considering.

I’m planning my first car for family use (5 members) with a budget under ₹15 lakh. I need a reliable, low-maintenance compact SUV with decent mileage and comfortable front and rear seating. I’m learning to drive, so supportive features for beginners are important. Expected usage is ~500 km per month plus quarterly trips of about 500 km. I’m considering options like the Citroen Aircross X, Kia Seltos, Sonet, Creta, or the upcoming Duster. Please suggest.

autocar.india
Out of the cars you have shortlisted, we suggest the Citroen Aircross X. Even the top variant fits within your budget, and the car itself is a well-rounded product. It is comfortable thanks to supportive seats front and back, and there is ample space. The wide cabin also allows five people to sit comfortably.Another good five-seater in your budget is the Mahindra 3XO. Its wide and spacious cabin seats five in good comfort, and its shorter length makes it easier to park. However, the boot is on the smaller side, which you should keep in mind.Regarding the upcoming Renault Duster, it is one of the most anticipated launches early next year. If you are willing to wait and check it out before deciding, it would make a lot of sense.

I am planning to buy a new petrol automatic car with a budget of ₹15-17 lakh. My usage is mostly city driving, and I prioritise efficiency over features and aesthetics, as long as the performance is good. I’m considering the Mahindra XUV 3XO, Tata Nexon, Hyundai Venue, and Skoda Kylaq. I also like the Toyota Hyryder for its hybrid efficiency, but it exceeds my budget. Which car would suit me best?

autocar.india
All the compact SUV options you've listed are powered by turbo-petrol engines, and since you are looking for efficiency, be warned, in typical city driving (stop-go conditions), these turbo-petrol engines aren't likely to be very efficient. Also, these are very sensitive to the driving style and ambient conditions, which can drop the mileage down to single digits. Among the options you've listed, the Mahindra XUV3XO 1.2 Turbo (MPI) AT is likely to satiate your need for performance while offering a smoother and comfortable experience overall. Another option you may consider is the Citroen Basalt X/Aircross X, provided there is a Citroen touchpoint in your city. However, if you want to keep the running costs down at all costs without sacrificing performance, go for the Tata Nexon EV 45.

I currently drive a manual Baleno and am considering upgrading to a reliable automatic SUV for easier ingress and egress. I prefer a 360° camera, but I would like to avoid a sunroof, as I feel it's a costly feature that I won't use. Please suggest a car with good city mileage and an on-road price below ₹18 lakh.

autocar.india
Automatic options without a sunroof but equipped with a factory-fitted 360-degree camera include the Maruti XL6 and the Citroen Aircross X. The XL6, being an MPV, offers smooth, comfortable, and the assurance of Maruti’s reliability. What's nice is that ingress and egress is a breeze. with an all-new more (than before) upmarket interior and excellent driving dynamics. It delivers stronger performance, though its fuel efficiency may not match that of the XL6.
