Over two months after the Scorpio N facelift launch, Mahindra is gearing up to introduce a special edition of the SUV. A Scorpio N sporting the ‘Edition One’ badge was spied undisguised recently at a dealer yard. However, Mahindra is yet to confirm a launch date for the upcoming Scorpio N Edition One.

  1. Special edition SUV sports a new grille and exclusive badges
  2. Interior has a black and burgundy theme
  3. Features and powertrains from the standard model expected to be retained

Mahindra Scorpio N Edition One: What was spotted?

Visually, the Edition One gets minor cosmetic changes, and among the noticeable updates is a new grille. While the standard Scorpio-N’s grille features six vertical chrome slats, the Edition One gets segmented horizontal chrome strips reminiscent of the Lifestyler pickup. The ‘Edition’ badges on the front fenders and C-pillars also help set it apart.

Coming to the interior, the overall cabin layout remains the same. However, there is a burgundy leatherette trim on the dashboard instead of brown, and the seats get black and burgundy leatherette upholstery. Since the model pictured here has all the bells and whistles, it is likely that the Edition One will be based on the Scorpio N’s top-of-the-line Z8L trim. So expect features such as Level 2 ADAS, a 540-degree camera setup, a panoramic sunroof, a 12.3-inch infotainment system and a 10.25-inch digital driver’s display, to name a few.

Mahindra Scorpio N Edition One: Expected powertrains and price

Upcoming Mahindra Scorpio N Edition One spied undisguised

The Scorpio N Edition One will likely have the same powertrains as the standard model. These include a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine producing 203hp and 370Nm (380Nm AT) and a diesel version with a 2.2-litre turbocharged unit producing 175hp and 370Nm (400Nm AT). A rear-wheel-drive (RWD) layout is standard across the range, while 4WD is offered only with the diesel.

Expect the Scorpio N Edition One to be priced at a slight premium over the standard model. For reference, the Scorpio N’s Z8L trim retails between Rs 21.31 lakh and Rs 25.49 lakh. Buyers can choose between 6-seat and 7-seat configurations. 4WD is available only with the latter.

All prices are ex-showroom, India.
