The Tata Safari line-up has seen a major rejig, as the brand has introduced a new Adventure X + variant, which replaces the previously offered Adventure, Adventure + and Adventure + A variants. Priced from Rs 19.99 lakh, the new higher-spec variant costs less than the outgoing ones and gets nearly the same features and safety kit. The rest of the Safari’s variant line-up has also been compressed, as a number of variants have been consolidated into new X-suffixed ones. The Tata Harrier's variant line-up has also seen a similar revision.

Like all higher-spec Safari variants, the new Adventure X + is available with 6-speed torque convertor automatic and 6-speed manual gearbox options with the 170hp, 2.0-litre diesel engine. Considering its Rs 20 lakh price tag, the Safari Adventure X + costs the same as the outgoing Adventure variant and over Rs 5 lakh less than the top-spec Accomplished + 7-seat variant.
Tata Safari Adventure X + features
‘Adventure Oak’ colour leatherette upholstery is exclusive to the Safari Adventure X +

Like the variants it replaces, the Safari Adventure X + gets the Supernova Copper exterior finish (also available on the top-spec Accomplished trim) and an exclusive brown leatherette upholstery that Tata calls Adventure Oak. Interestingly, the features list and safety have increased compared to the outgoing Adventure variant.
In addition to the previously available 18-inch alloy wheels, 10.25-inch touchscreen and digital instrument cluster, and panoramic sunroof, the Adventure X variant gets a 360-degree camera, a 6-way powered driver’s seat with memory function, auto headlights and wipers and a Level 2 ADAS suite, albeit only on the automatic gearbox version.
