Tata Punch facelift

Tata Motors has been working on the Punch facelift for a while now. Camouflaged test mules were first seen back in March 2024, and the updated Punch is expected to carry over a lot from the Punch EV. This means significant tech upgrades can be expected on the Punch facelift.

  1. Punch facelift expected to get new 10.25-inch touchscreen
  2. Exterior design updates will be similar to the Punch EV
  3. Expected to remain mechanically unchanged

Tata Punch facelift interior and features

Akin to the updates on the recently launched Tata Altroz facelift, the Punch facelift is expected to get a larger 10.25-inch central touchscreen, a full-digital instrument cluster as well as the new two-spoke steering wheel. That’ll be quite a notable upgrade from the 7.0-inch touchscreen and semi-digital instrument cluster offered with the existing Punch.

However, the overall dashboard design is expected to remain largely unchanged. The Punch facelift will also likely get the touch-based HVAC control panel seen on the latest Tata models.

Tata Punch facelift exterior design

On the exterior too, the updated Punch will borrow heavily from the Punch EV. It will have a redesigned fascia with slimmer headlamps, a new LED DRL signature, new front and rear bumpers and new alloy wheels. To mark it out from its EV counterpart, the ICE-powered Punch is not expected to get the full-width LED band up front, which is a common differentiator between all ICE-powered and electric Tata models.

Under the hood, the Punch facelift is expected to retain its 1.2-litre, three-cylinder, naturally aspirated petrol engine that produces 86hp and 113Nm of torque, and comes mated to a 5-speed manual or AMT gearbox. The Punch is also available in CNG guise where it produces 73.4hp and 103Nm. The CNG version is currently only available with a 5-speed manual gearbox, but an AMT is expected to join the line-up as well.

The Punch facelift, however, is not expected to launch any time soon. With the company's hands full with the upcoming Harrier EV and the new Sierra range later this year, the updated Punch is atleast a year away, and can only be expected sometime in 2026.
