Tata Motors has silently introduced the Nexon CNG Dark, which is available in three variants and is priced between Rs 12.70 lakh and Rs 14.70 lakh. As its name implies, the Nexon CNG Dark gets an all-black exterior finish – from the metallic bits and paint job to the alloy wheels – and a blacked-out interior theme.

The Tata Nexon CNG Dark is available in the higher three variants – Creative + S, Creative + PS and Fearless + PS. While Creative + S and Creative + PS variants are priced Rs 40,000 more than the equivalent standard trim, the Nexon CNG Dark Fearless + PS is priced Rs 20,000 higher than its standard counterpart. Other than the cosmetic changes outside and inside, the Dark versions share their features list with the trims they are based on.
Mechanically, there are no changes either. The Nexon CNG is powered by a 1.2-litre, three-cylinder, turbocharged engine that produces 100hp and 170Nm of peak torque when running on Compressed Natural Gas. Unlike other Tata CNG models like the Tiago and Tigor, which get an AMT gearbox as an option, the Nexon iCNG has a 6-speed manual only.
