Tata Motors has launched the Nexon CNG in India, which starts at Rs 8.99 lakh for the entry-level Smart variant and goes up to Rs 14.59 lakh for the top-end Fearless + PS variant. It is available in eight variants: Smart (O), Smart +, Smart +S, Pure, Pure S, Creative, Creative +, and Fearless + PS.
Tata Nexon CNG variants explained
The Nexon CNG is equipped with a 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine that produces 100hp and 170Nm of peak torque in CNG mode and is mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox along with an optional AMT. It gets a twin-tank setup as standard and is the first CNG car in India with a turbocharged petrol engine. Do note that the prices for the Nexon CNG automatic are yet to be revealed. The Nexon CNG goes up against the Maruti Brezza CNG (Rs 9.29-10.65 lakh), Maruti Fronx CNG (Rs 8.47-9.33 lakh) and Toyota Taisor CNG (Rs 8.72 lakh).
