UPDATE: 2020 Hyundai Creta launch moved forward to March 16
After its recent showcase at the 2020 Auto Expo, Hyundai is slated to launch the all-new version of one of the most significant models in its line-up – the Creta. The India market launch of the SUV is just a few weeks away. In the lead-up to its launch, Hyundai has announced that the Creta will get an upgraded version of the Blue Link connected car tech that’s currently on offer in the Venue and Elantra.
Hyundai is calling this iteration of the technology ‘Advance Blue Link’, which will come with over 50 connectivity features as compared to the Elantra and Venue’s list of 33 features. New features include the 'Hello Blue Link’ voice-command system, which allows the user to control various in-car functions like opening/closing the sunroof, controlling seat ventilation, adjusting the climate control setting – temperature, fan-speed control and wind direction, to name a few. This system can also provide live cricket updates and Indian public holiday information.
Additionally, the upgraded system also allows users to control various remote functions – like locking/unlocking their cars, turning on the horn or headlight flasher, turning the AC and air purifier on or off, and checking vehicle status – all from their smartwatch.

Auto Crash Notification
In case of an accident, a call will be placed to the Blue Link call centre to assist occupants with contacting emergency services.
SOS/Emergency Assistance
Blue Link Call centre will assist occupants with contacting and getting help from emergency services in case of an accident.
Road Side Assistance
In case of a breakdown, the call centre will contact road side assistance services.
Panic Notification
Blue Link app will send SMSes to the registered contacts in case of an emergency.

The next-gen Creta will launch on March 17, 2020 and compete in the hotly contested midsize SUV segment against its cousin, the Kia Seltos, along with the MG Hector, Tata Harrier, Renault Captur, Renault Duster and Nissan Kicks. We expect Hyundai to price the new Creta in the Rs 10-16 lakh range (estimated, ex-showroom).
