MG ZS EV now available at Rs 49,999 per month rental plan

The MG ZS EV is now available for rental at Rs 49,999 per month in Mumbai. This is an inaugural offer (and is expected to rise later) under the brand’s MG Subscribe service. MG Motor India has partnered with Zoomcar and Orix to roll out this plan.

The company says this Rs 49,999 monthly rental scheme is for 36 months. Under the programme, MG’s all-electric SUV is available in 12-, 24-, 18-, 30- or 36-month subscription options. The ZS EV is currently available for subscription in Mumbai, Pune, Delhi-NCR and Bengaulru, though more cities will be added soon.

The carmaker says it is focused on providing shared mobility options to its customers as part of its vision of CASE (Connected – Autonomous – Shared – Electric). This partnership aims to provide dynamic mobility options to ZS EV customers with Zoomcar and Orix.

As a part of the tie-up, MG Motor India will leverage Zoomcar’s end-to-end technology solution for its MG Subscribe vehicle subscription platform. Orix, as its vehicle deployment partner and one of largest shared mobility platform in the country, will make the ZS EV available for subscription.

The ZS EV is on sale in India in two variants - Excite and Exclusive - and is priced from Rs 20.88-23.58 lakh (ex-showroom, India). It comes with a 143hp motor powered by a 44.5kWh battery pack, which has a claimed range of 340km. In our real-world tests, the MG ZS EV managed a respectable 317km in a mixed driving cycle.
