The Maruti Victoris surpassed the 1 lakh unit sales milestone in May, over eight months since its launch in September 2025. The first 50,000 sales milestone was hit in just five months since introduction, and its highest monthly wholesales were in January 2026 (15,240 units). In the same month, the Victoris accounted for 20 percent of Maruti Suzuki's utility vehicle (UV) sales - 75,609 units - making it the third best-selling UV for the company after the Ertiga (17,892 units) and the Brezza (17,486 units).
- The Victoris achieved the milestone faster than the Grand Vitara
- It shares its platform and powertrains with the Grand Vitara
- Features like Level 2 ADAS, underbody-mounted CNG tank are on offer
Maruti Suzuki Victoris wholesales
In comparison to the Victoris, the Maruti Grand Vitara platform sibling took one year to achieve the same sales target. However, it's not the fastest in the segment to attain it. The second-generation Hyundai Creta facelift, launched in mid-January 2024, took six months to hit the mark.
Out of over 7 lakh UVs units sold by the carmaker between August 2025 and May 2026, Victoris' share was 14 percent. Looking at 24,554 unit sales in the current fiscal year (April and May), the Victoris is ranked the fourth best-selling Maruti UV after the Fronx, Ertiga and the Brezza. If the sales momentum continues, the Victoris can surpass 1.5 lakh unit sales in a few months.
The Victoris is rebadged as 'Across' for global market and till March 2026, 4,899 units have been exported.
Maruti Suzuki Victoris powertrains and standout features
The Victoris shares its powertrain lineup with the Grand Vitara, offering 103hp 1.5-litre mild-hybrid petrol, 116hp 1.5-litre strong hybrid and an 89hp 1.5-litre petrol-CNG options. A 5-speed manual is provided with the CNG and an e-CVT for the strong hybrid. Whereas, a choice between a 5-speed manual or 6-speed torque converter automatic is available with the mild-hybrid petrol, depending on the variant; top-spec mild-hybrid variants also come with an all-wheel-drive system.
In terms of mileage, the strong hybrid Victoris is the most fuel efficient, delivering an ARAI-rated 28.56kpl. The Victoris CNG returns 27.02km/kg, while the mild-hybrid models deliver 21.18kpl (MT), 21.06kpl (AT) and 19.07kpl (AT AWD).
While the Victoris is sold through Maruti Arena dealerships, the Grand Vitara is available via the premium Nexa network. The Grand Vitara, however, misses out on features such as a space-saving underbody-mounted CNG tank and Level 2 ADAS, both of which are offered on the Victoris. The Victoris has also secured a full five-star Bharat NCAP rating, while the Grand Vitara is yet to be tested. Prices for the Maruti Victoris range from Rs 10.77 lakh to Rs 19.72 lakh, ex-showroom.
