Maruti Suzuki e Vitara being exported

Maruti Suzuki shipped over 2,900 e Vitara units – exclusively built at its Hansalpur factory in Gujarat – to 12 European countries in August. This comes after Prime Minister Narendra Modi recently flagged off production of the made-in-India electric SUV, who said that the Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV) will be exported to over 100 nations from the facility. The same plant will also manufacture for our domestic market.

  1. Hansalpur plant currently has an annual production capacity of 7,50,000 units
  2. 17 other Maruti Suzuki models already being exported to over 100 nations
  3. These include the Grand Vitara, Fronx, Jimny and Ertiga

The first-ever Maruti Suzuki e Vitara shipments were sent from the state's Pipapav port, destined for the United Kingdom, Germany, France, Switzerland, Austria, Norway, Denmark, the Netherlands, Sweden, Hungary, Iceland and Belgium. The brand already exports 17 other cars to around 100 countries, including to Suzuki's home nation, Japan.

Currently, it can produce up to 7,50,000 vehicles annually across three production lines.
