The soon-to-be-launched Kia Syros’ top two trims are seeing more bookings than the rest of its line-up, thanks to unique features such as rear-seat ventilation, say dealers. Bookings for the Kia Syros have crossed the 10,000 mark ahead of its February 1 price announcement. The Syros is Kia’s second compact SUV for India and made its public appearance at the Auto Expo earlier this month.

  1. Kia Syros test drives to start in New Delhi first
  2. Test drives in other cities to commence by February 10
  3. About 60 percent of bookings are for petrol variants

Kia Syros popular variants

Apart from rear seat ventilation, the top two Kia Syros’ top two trims, HTX+ and HTX+ (O), include features such as ADAS, a 360-degree camera, additional parking sensors and a blind view monitor. These trims have 17-inch alloy wheels, dual-tone interiors, dual-pane panoramic sunroof, leatherette upholstery, ambient lighting, dual 12.3-inch screens for infotainment and instrumentation, an 8-speaker sound system, and more.

The other popular choice is the mid-spec HTK+ trim, which, too, has a dual-pane panoramic sunroof. It also features push-button start, cruise control, drive modes and traction modes.

The Syros has a 1.0-litre turbo-petrol or a 1.5-litre diesel engine. Dealers tell us that around 60 percent of buyers are choosing the turbo-petrol variants, and a majority of them are opting for dual-clutch transmission. Even for diesel, there’s more demand for the automatic variants, which come with a torque converter.

Kia Syros popular colours

At most outlets, Frost Blue is the top colour choice, followed by Glacier White Pearl. The Syros is also available in Sparkling Silver, Gravity Grey, Imperial Blue, Intense Red, Pewter Olive and Aurora Pearl Black.
