Jeep Grand Cherokee Signature Edition features explained

It gets more convenience, entertainment and safety features

Jeep Grand Cherokee Signature Edition motorised side step

Compared to the already well-equipped Grand Cherokee Limited (O) variant (Rs 67.50 lakh), the Signature Edition adds motorised side steps, making it easier to get in and out of the 5-seat SUV. At the rear, passengers get two 11.6-inch Android-based touchscreen infotainments that have in-built speakers, and Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and AUX compatibility. The Grand Cherokee Signature Edition also gets integrated front and rear dash cams.

The current, fifth-gen Grand Cherokee is powered by a sole 2.0-litre, four-cylinder turbo-petrol engine, which produces 272hp and 400Nm. This unit is mated to an 8-speed automatic gearbox that sends power to all four wheels via Jeep’s four-wheel drive system.

The Jeep Grand Cherokee competes against other large luxury SUVs like the Volvo XC90 (Rs 1.04 crore), Range Rover Velar (Rs 87.90 lakh), Mercedes-Benz GLE (Rs 1.02 crore-1.11 crore), Audi Q7 (Rs 90.48 lakh-99.81 lakh) and BMW X5 (Rs 97.80-1.13 crore). Do note that while the Grand Cherokee, GLE, X5 and Velar are 5-seaters, the Audi and Volvo seat up to 7.
