The Range Rover Velar is a luxury SUV that fills the gap between the Range Rover Evoque and the larger Range Rover Sport in the manufacturer’s lineup. The Range Rover Velar is priced at ₹81.00 lakh. It is offered in a single ‘Autobiography’ trim, with both petrol and diesel engine options.  

The Range Rover Velar engine options include a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine that produces 250hp and 365Nm, and a 2.0-litre mild-hybrid diesel engine that puts out 204hp and 430Nm. Both engines are paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission that sends power to all four wheels (AWD). While the Range Rover Velar is more oriented for on-road driving, it still has modes to tackle various terrains.

• Range Rover Velar is offered in a single ‘Autobiography’ trim, with both petrol and diesel engine options.
• Offered with a 250hp, 2.0-litre turbo-petrol and a 204hp, 2.0-litre diesel engine options. 
• Gets a full-time AWD, terrain modes, air suspension (as an optional add-on, with coil springs as standard), and electronically controlled differentials.
• In terms of features, it gets an 11.4-inch infotainment, a 12.3-inch instrument cluster, 4-zone AC, an 11-speaker Meridian sound system and a powered tailgate.
• Safety features include 6 airbags, a 360-degree camera, an electronic parking brake, a tyre-pressure monitoring system, a Level-2 ADAS, and hill start and hill descent assists. 
• The Range Rover Velar was crash tested in 2017 at Euro NCAP, where it scored a 5-star safety rating. The current-spec model is expected to have a similar crash test performance.
