Hyundai Alcazar facelift design highlights

Multiple test mule sightings of the Alcazar facelift have hinted at it getting unique styling tweaks that will separate it from the Creta. While the split headlamp design might remain similar, the grille and front bumper will be slightly different. In profile, the alloy wheels and side claddings get a new design. At the rear, it gets a completely new tailgate with a new-look tail-light that has a mix of vertical as well as horizontal elements.

The new-look dashboard design is replete with a twin-screen setup, like the Creta facelift. The Alcazar will continue to be offered in 6- and 7-seater configurations. Under the hood, the current 1.5-litre turbo-petrol and 1.5-litre diesel engine options will be carried forward. The petrol churns out 160hp and 253Nm of torque, and can be had with either a 6-speed MT or a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic. The diesel motor’s output is 116hp and 250Nm, and it is available with either a 6MT or a 6AT.

The Alcazar facelift will be Hyundai’s new model for the upcoming festive season, with a launch expected in September. The current version costs between Rs 16.78 lakh and Rs 21.28 lakh (ex-showroom), and the facelift is expected to cost more.
