After giving Creta a mid-life makeover earlier this year, Hyundai is now working on a facelift for Alcazar. The upcoming three-row SUV was again spotted being tested, revealing some major design updates.

  1. Alcazar facelift to get distinguishing styling elements over Creta
  2. To be equipped with ADAS
  3. Launch likely around September-October this year

Hyundai Alcazar facelift: what’s new?

The latest spy shots show that the Alcazar facelift gets a redesigned front-end, similar to Creta's. The grille’s larger, with a slightly different pattern than its five-seat sibling. The split LED headlamps sport a new look. The updated SUV also has a front radar, which confirms the inclusion of ADAS safety features on the new Alcazar. While the rest of the body was camouflaged, the new alloy wheels were clearly visible.

Hyundai Alcazar facelift: features, powertrains

On the inside, expect the new dashboard from the Creta facelift to be carried over to the refreshed Alcazar. This includes the conjoined 10.25-inch infotainment screen and the similarly sized digital instrument cluster. Like earlier, Alcazar will be available in six- and seven-seat configurations.

The 1.5-litre turbo-petrol and 1.5-litre diesel engine options are likely to stay. While the petrol powertrain churns out 160hp and 253Nm of torque and can be had with either a 6-speed MT or an optional 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission, the diesel motor’s output is 116hp and 250Nm, and it is available with 6MT and 6AT gearbox options.

Hyundai Alcazar facelift: launch timeline, price

After a delay from the originally planned launch, the Alcazar facelift is now expected to arrive in India by October. Owing to the changes, the prices may see a slight upward revision. The current variants cost Rs 16.78 lakh-21.28 lakh (ex-showroom).
