The Skoda Kushaq facelift, expected to launch in January 2026, is going to get significant updates to keep itself relevant in an increasingly competitive midsize SUV segment, which has recently seen the launch of the Tata Sierra. Among the feature additions visible in spy shots, we can now confirm that the 2026 Kushaq facelift will also get a segment-first: a massage function for the rear seats.
- Skoda Kushaq facelift to get more features than the outgoing model
- Minor exterior design changes and a new automatic gearbox expected
Skoda Kushaq facelift features
Panoramic sunroof, rear disc brakes for 1.5 TSI variants and new graphics for screens confirmed.
While Kushaq facelift spy shots showed that it’ll have a panoramic sunroof on higher variants, we can now confirm that the Hyundai Creta rival will also get new graphics for the digital instrument cluster and infotainment touchscreen, along with rear disc brakes for the 1.5 TSI variants. The air-conditioning system is also expected to receive updates to improve it over the current model. Other features likely to be included on the facelifted Kushaq include a Level 2 ADAS suite and a 360-degree camera.
Skoda Kushaq facelift engine and gearbox options
6-speed automatic gearbox may be replaced with a new 8-speed torque-converter unit.
While the current Kushaq’s 115hp 1.0-litre turbo-petrol and 150hp 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engines are expected to continue unchanged, the smaller unit may see a new automatic gearbox; the current 6-speed Aisin-sourced torque-converter automatic will likely be replaced with a new 8-speed unit. The 7-speed dual-clutch auto for the 1.5 TSI and the 6-speed manual gearbox for both engine options are likely to be retained.
Skoda Kushaq facelift exterior design
Spy shots show changes are limited to the front and rear ends.
The spied Kushaq facelift test mules give hints about the exterior changes. While sheet-metal changes are minimal, the updated SUV is expected to feature revised headlight, fog light and tail-light clusters, a tweaked grille design and new front and rear bumpers. The blacked-out 16-inch alloy wheels seen on the test mule are new as well.
