Outgoing Volkswagen Taigun gets discounts of up to Rs 3 lakh in April 2026

Volkswagen has unveiled the Taigun facelift, while the outgoing model continues to be on sale with discounts of up to Rs 3 lakh in April 2026. The Virtus and Tiguan are also available with offers, with the sedan getting up to Rs 1.25 lakh off and the Tiguan attracting the highest benefits of up to Rs 4.5 lakh. The benefits include cash discounts, exchange bonuses, scrappage incentives and loyalty offers, depending on the model, variant and stock availability, with higher discounts on MY2025 stock.

Volkswagen Taigun discounts in April 2026

Up to Rs 3 lakh off

Upcoming Volkswagen Taigun facelift. 

The Taigun gets total benefits of up to Rs 3 lakh on select variants, with discounts available on the outgoing model, as the facelift has been unveiled and pre-bookings are now open.

The Topline MT (MY 2025) attracts the highest discounts, including Rs 2.5 lakh cash/liquidation support, a Rs 30,000 exchange bonus and a Rs 20,000 loyalty bonus. Other variants get lower benefits. Highline Plus variants offer up to Rs 80,000 cash support on MY 2025 units and up to Rs 25,000 on MY 2026 units, along with Rs 30,000 exchange and Rs 20,000 loyalty bonuses. GT Line variants get up to Rs 50,000 cash support and up to Rs 50,000 additional support on newer stock, with similar exchange and loyalty benefits. Lower trims such as Comfortline and Highline get up to Rs 50,000 cash support, with limited or no exchange benefits depending on the variant.

The Taigun offers strong performance with the direct-injection 1.5 TSI engine and balanced driving manners, along with solid build quality, though some cost-cutting is evident in certain areas. The Taigun rivals the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Maruti Grand Vitara, Honda Elevate, Tata Sierra, Skoda Kushaq and Renault Duster, and its price ranges from Rs 10.58 lakh to Rs 19.19 lakh.

Volkswagen Tiguan discounts in April 2026

Up to Rs 4.5 lakh off

The Tiguan R-Line gets total benefits of up to Rs 4.5 lakh. This includes a Rs 3.5 lakh cash/liquidation support, a Rs 50,000 exchange bonus and a Rs 50,000 loyalty bonus. The Tiguan was launched in India at Rs 49 lakh in the sportier R-Line avatar as Volkswagen’s flagship SUV and is now priced at Rs 45.73 lakh.

It offers features such as a panoramic sunroof, a digital cockpit and tri-zone climate control, along with advanced safety tech. The Tiguan has great handling thanks to its DCC Pro system and a comfortable ride, though it misses features like seat ventilation and remains expensive for the segment.

It rivals entry-level luxury SUVs such as the Audi Q3, BMW X1 and Mercedes-Benz GLA, as well as premium SUVs like the Skoda Kodiaq, Jeep Meridian and Toyota Fortuner.

Volkswagen Virtus discounts in April 2026

Up to Rs 1.25 lakh off

 

The Virtus gets total benefits of up to Rs 1.25 lakh, with the Topline variants attracting the highest discounts. Topline trims get Rs 75,000 cash support on MY2025 units and up to Rs 50,000 on MY2026 stock, along with a Rs 30,000 exchange bonus and a Rs 20,000 loyalty bonus.

Highline Plus variants get Rs 30,000 cash support on MY2025 units and up to Rs 20,000 on MY2026 stock, in addition to Rs 30,000 exchange and Rs 20,000 loyalty benefits. Highline variants are offered only with exchange and loyalty bonuses, with no cash discounts. GT Plus DSG variants (Sport and Chrome) also do not get any cash support and are limited to Rs 30,000 exchange and Rs 20,000 loyalty bonuses.

The Virtus is offered with 1.0-litre and 1.5-litre TSI turbo-petrol engines. It offers a comfortable ride and good handling, along with a smooth gearbox and a spacious cabin. However, some interior materials feel below par, and the 1.0-litre engine can feel slightly sluggish at low speeds. A facelifted Virtus is also in the works and has been spotted testing ahead of its expected launch.

The sedan rivals the Honda City, Hyundai Verna and Skoda Slavia and is priced between Rs 10.5 lakh and Rs 19 lakh.
