Suzuki Gixxer SF
The Gixxer SF offers a premium big-bike feel in the 150cc segment, inspired by Suzuki’s legendary sportbike, the Hayabusa. While it looks aggressive, this motorcycle is designed for comfortable daily commuting using slightly raised clip-on handlebars that prevent wrist pain.
The motorcycle is powered by a 155cc single-cylinder engine that produces 13.4hp. This engine delivers a good balance of everyday performance and high mileage for regular use. In this lineup, Suzuki also offers the Suzuki Gixxer SF 250, a bigger sibling for riders with a higher budget who are looking for extra power and a larger engine.

•29wHello Team AutoCar, love you guys and your content! Coming to my query - I’m looking for a bike that will be used 100% inside Hyderabad city. After a bit of research, I’ve narrowed it down to the 150-160 cc segment. My main concern is suspension, as the city has plenty of potholes and long waiting times in traffic. I’m a 28-year-old male, so boring commuters are ruled out. I’ve shortlisted the Suzuki Gixxer SF 155 and the Pulsar N160 USD. What’s your one pick? Also, should I consider the Xtreme 160? The Duke 160 isn’t my type, and the Apache 160 feels dated.

Autocar India
Both the options you’ve shortlisted - the Gixxer SF 155 and the Pulsar N160 - have great suspension and will be good for city usage.Between the two, we’d recommend the Pulsar N160. The Gixxer SF’s riding position is a bit more committed since it’s designed as a sport bike. The Hero Xtreme 160R offers decent suspension and chassis composure. However, its gearbox isn’t the smoothest, and the engine isn’t the most refined in its class.

•32wI’m buying my first sportbike and have shortlisted two models: the Suzuki Gixxer SF 155 and the Yamaha R15. Which should I choose? I want good mileage, sharp handling, low maintenance, reliability, and comfort. I ride mostly in the city and my height is 5'7".

Autocar India
If you’re looking for a true-blue sportbike experience in an approachable package, the Yamaha YZF R15 V4 is one of the purest examples in its class. However, since you prefer comfort and mostly ride within the city, we would recommend the Suzuki Gixxer SF instead. The Yamaha is a no-holds-barred sportbike; its rider's triangle is very committed and its suspension is on the stiffer side. In comparison, the Suzuki feels more amenable. That said, we’d suggest taking a test ride of both before deciding. A sportbike isn’t always a logical purchase. It’s one you buy because you love those racy looks and the thrill that comes with it. Happy riding!
