The BMW G 310 RR is a fully faired sports bike built around a 312cc single-cylinder engine. It makes 34hp in Track and Sport modes and gets a 6-speed gearbox with an anti-hopping clutch. The bike also has Ride by Wire and four riding modes: Track, Sport, Urban and Rain.

In our Autocar review, we found the G 310 RR quick and responsive, with power building smoothly towards the redline. Vibrations become more noticeable higher up the rev range. The suspension also manages to balance ride comfort with sporty handling, allowing the bike to deal with bumps and potholes without feeling overly stiff.

The G 310 RR shares its basic design and mechanical package with the TVS Apache RR 310, but gets BMW-specific colours, badging and TFT graphics. Its 174kg kerb weight, 811mm seat height, and compact dimensions make it suitable for everyday riding and occasional spirited rides.

BMW G 310 RR price starts at Rs. 2.90 lakh ex-showroom for the Standard and goes up to Rs. 3.05 lakh for the Style Sport. Meanwhile, the G 310 RR on road price starts from Rs. 3.14 lakh and goes up to Rs. 3.66 lakh, depending on the city, RTO charges, insurance and other applicable costs. The range is available in three variants: Standard, Style Passion and Style Sport. The main differences between them are cosmetic.

  • Standard: The entry-level variant gets the full mechanical package, including the 312.12cc engine, four riding modes, Ride by Wire, anti-hopping clutch, TFT display and BMW Motorrad ABS. It is finished in Cosmic Black 2.
  • Style Passion: This variant gets the same engine and equipment as the Standard but is distinguished by its Racing Blue Metallic paint finish.
  • Style Sport: The top variant gets the same mechanical and feature package, but adds the Light White UNI, Racing Blue Metallic and Racing Red UNI graphics for a more race-inspired appearance.

The BMW G 310 RR shares its design with the TVS Apache RR 310, with the biggest differences being the BMW badge and exclusive colour schemes. The signature white, blue and red paint gives it a premium and sporty appearance that attracts plenty of attention, while an all-black option is available for those who prefer a subtler look. BMW G 310 RR Mileage

BMW G 310 RR mileage is 30kpl as per ARAI. The motorcycle has an 11-litre fuel tank, which gives it a theoretical range of around 330km based on the ARAI mileage.  India does not currently list separate city and highway tested mileage figures for the G 310 RR. Mileage will vary with traffic, riding conditions, speed and riding style.

BMW G 310 RR FAQs

Both bikes use the exact same engine, so you won't get any extra performance for the extra money. What you are really paying for is the BMW badge, the exclusive colours, and small touches like the branded key and the BMW startup graphics on the TFT screen. If that matters to you, the price gap is easier to justify.

Not really, since both bikes share the same suspension setup. The one thing that changes is the tyres. The BMW gets Michelin Pilot Street tyres, while the Apache runs on Michelin Road 5s.

Bluetooth connectivity is the biggest one, and the BMW skips it entirely, which means you lose the connected features that come with the Apache. Adjustable suspension is also not included.

Mostly, yes. The engine builds power smoothly all the way to the redline, so G 310 RR doesn't feel jerky or inconsistent. Though you might feel some vibration once you push it higher in the rev range.

The G 310 RR makes the most sense if you are a brand-conscious beginner or daily commuter who wants a premium, striking sports bike with manageable power and everyday comfort.

Hi I’m a beginner rider and I’m a bit lean and 5’7 height but I want a good sports bike and my first choice is the bmw G rr310 simply because it is more attractive in colours than the TVS Apache even though the Apache has better features and quick shifter too at a lower on road price. I have had other preferences as well like the duke 250 which I didn’t like that much in terms of looks triumph speed had recent issues with bike that puts a question on the reliability of the bike and I feel Aprilia rs457 and duke 390 are way too overwhelming and powerful for me as my first bike especially in Indian roads with high traffic pls help me decide the perfect bike overall

I want to buy a sports bike and am confused between the BMW G 310 RR and the TVS Apache RR 310. Which one is the better buy?

We'd recommend going for the TVS Apache RR 310 over the BMW G 310 RR because even though both are pretty much identical, TVS gives you a slightly more refined package at a lower price and with lower service costs in the long run than the BMW bike. TVS has refined and upgraded the RR 310 multiple times since it was launched adding more features, power and better components over time, whereas the G 310 RR remains the same since it came out in 2022. Like for like, the TVS bike comes with better tyres than the BMW, will cost a fair deal lesser, which in our books, immediately tilts the scales in favour of the Apache. TVS also has a much wider service network and parts are easier on the pocket, so living with the bike in the long run will be easier and more pocket-friendly. One thing to bear in mind is that TVS' showroom experience can be a little hit or miss, so pick a dealer with generally strong service reviews.Choosing the BMW G 310 RR only makes sense if you value what badge your bike wears and you are alright with paying more upfront and at service for a slightly older package.
