The Himalayan is built with practicality at its core. The slim fuel tank allows good grip while standing on the pegs, the windscreen offers protection from the elements, and there are ample mounting points for luggage. Build quality feels a notch above older Royal Enfields.

The upright riding position, spacious ergonomics and excellent suspension make long commutes and touring duties remarkably easy. Its size can feel intimidating at first, but that same size contributes to the bike's commanding feel and long-distance comfort.

The engine delivers its performance in a relaxed and easy-going manner. Strong mid-range punch makes everyday riding effortless, while highway cruising is handled comfortably. Vibrations at higher speeds are noticeable, but the motor remains enjoyable to ride.
9
What sets the Himalayan apart is how easily it deals with broken roads. The suspension absorbs rough surfaces exceptionally well, while the chassis feels composed and confidence inspiring. Despite its weight, the steering requires less effort than expected in traffic and the bike remains manageable in everyday conditions.

The instrument cluster provides useful ride information, including trip data and ambient temperature. The TFT display adds functionality, although the toggle switch can sometimes be fiddly. Braking performance is progressive and predictable.
9
The Himalayan is not without flaws, but its combination of comfort, suspension and all-road capability makes it easy to recommend. It excels as a practical adventure tourer and remains enjoyable whether commuting through the city or heading out on a long ride.
