It is listed in 3 variants: Standard, LED BT and LED BT ABS, with the same engine and basic mechanical package across the range. The motorcycle gets a perimeter frame, a muscular fuel tank, alloy wheels and sporty bodywork. The NS125 is best suited to buyers who want sporty styling and useful everyday performance in a 125cc motorcycle.
Who should buy the Bajaj Pulsar NS125?
Reviews and specifications point to a few buyer types this motorcycle suits best.
Buyer type | Why it fits |
City Commuter | The 124.45cc engine and 5-speed gearbox make the Pulsar NS125 suitable for everyday travel. Its 144kg kerb weight is worth considering for riders who frequently manoeuvre through tight traffic or parking spaces. |
Mileage Buyer | As per our road test, the Pulsar NS125 mileage is around 46.9kpl. The 12-litre fuel tank also allows longer distances between refuelling stops, although actual efficiency depends on riding conditions. |
First-Time Buyer | The 12hp output and conventional 5-speed gearbox provide a manageable starting point for new riders. The 805mm seat height and variant-specific braking equipment are worth checking before purchase. |
Value-for-Money Buyer | The Standard variant offers the same engine and basic mechanical package as the higher trims at a lower price. Buyers can avoid paying extra for Bluetooth connectivity, LED lighting and ABS if these features are not priorities. |
Tech Buyer | The LED BT and LED BT ABS variants get a fully digital Bluetooth-enabled console, LED lighting and a USB charging port. The LED BT ABS adds single-channel ABS and three ABS modes, making it the most comprehensively equipped variant. |
Riders who want ABS should also note that it is available only on the LED BT ABS variant, rather than throughout the range.

- The 124.45cc engine, 5-speed gearbox and basic chassis package remain common to all variants.

7.0
The Bajaj Pulsar NS125 closely follows the design of its larger siblings, especially the NS200. It carries the same sharp streetfighter styling, featuring a single headlamp, a neat tail section, and attractive alloy wheels. Despite the design being several years old, it still looks sporty and distinctive in the 125cc segment. Also, the analogue tachometer is a nice touch; the display misses useful information such as a gear position indicator and fuel consumption data.
8.0
One of the NS125’s strengths is its spacious riding ergonomics. Sharing its dimensions with larger NS models results in a roomy rider triangle, making it comfortable for taller riders. The reach to the handlebars is natural, and there is sufficient legroom. The 810mm seat height strikes a balance between commuter-friendly motorcycles and more performance-focused bikes. Ride quality is generally comfortable, thanks to the well-tuned telescopic fork, although the rear monoshock feels slightly firm.
8.0
The 125cc, four-valve, air-cooled engine produces 12hp and 11Nm. It feels responsive and tractable from low speeds, making city riding easy. Power builds smoothly until around 9,000rpm, after which performance and refinement begin to drop off.
The five-speed gearbox has well-chosen ratios and a light clutch, helping the bike feel comfortable in urban conditions. Highway cruising is best limited to around 80-85kph, as the engine feels strained at higher speeds.
8.0
The perimeter frame and preload-adjustable monoshock give the NS125 a solid foundation. Handling is one of its highlights, with quick steering and confidence-inspiring cornering manners. The skinny tyres contribute to its agile feel, making it enjoyable on twisty roads. Despite weighing 144kg, the motorcycle feels well-balanced and manageable, both while moving and at a standstill.
7.0
The NS125 focuses more on its mechanical package than on features. The semi-digital instrument console is basic by modern standards. Braking duties are handled by a 240mm front disc and a rear drum brake. Stopping performance is adequate, although improved lever feel and the addition of ABS would have been welcome.
7.0
It is more expensive than the standard Pulsar 125 but delivers better handling, stronger road presence, and a more engaging riding experience. The NS125 successfully combines sporty dynamics with everyday usability. While its dated instrumentation, lack of ABS, and average refinement hold it back, it remains a unique and appealing option for riders seeking a sporty 125cc motorcycle without stretching to premium alternatives.

Bajaj Pulsar NS125 comparison

Bajaj Pulsar NS125 Mileage
Bajaj Pulsar NS125 mileage is around 46.9kpl, making fuel efficiency an important consideration for buyers using the motorcycle for daily commuting. The bike has a 12-litre fuel tank, which translates to a theoretical range of around 563km at the listed mileage figure. Actual range will vary with traffic, riding style, road conditions and load.
Every variant uses the same 124.45cc engine and 5-speed gearbox, so mileage is not a reason to choose one trim over another. The Pulsar NS125 does not get an auto start-stop system, making smooth acceleration and avoiding prolonged high-rev riding useful ways to manage fuel consumption. Buyers who spend most of their time in congested city traffic should expect their actual mileage to depend heavily on riding conditions.

Bajaj Pulsar NS125 FAQs
Yes. The Pulsar NS125 engine is smooth and tractable. It can pull in higher gears at low speeds, and the light clutch effort makes it well-suited for city traffic.
The Pulsar NS125 is reasonably easy to manoeuvre through congested traffic. Its engine can pull at low speeds without requiring frequent gear changes, and the clutch has a light action. The bike also feels well balanced despite weighing around 144 - 146kg, depending on the variant. However, its weight may be more noticeable when pushing it around in a parking space or moving it while stationary than when riding.
The Pulsar NS125 has a natural reach to the handlebars and enough legroom for taller riders. Its front suspension handles uneven roads well, but its rear monoshock is on the firmer side. It seat may become uncomfortable during longer rides, when combined with the firm rear suspension. The five-speed gearbox and engine refinement also make sustained high-speed cruising less relaxing, so the bike is better suited to commuting and occasional shorter rides than frequent long-distance touring.
The Pulsar NS125 handles everyday road imperfections reasonably well. Its telescopic front fork does a good job of absorbing bumps, while the 178mm ground clearance helps it negotiate typical speed breakers and uneven urban roads. However, the rear monoshock can feel firm, particularly over sharper potholes and larger bumps. Riders may feel more of these impacts on broken roads, so slowing down over deep potholes and tall speed breakers is advisable.
